Low PAPP-A

Just had my screening results back from my NHS dating scan and it's thankfully low risk for downs, Edward's & patau's however my PAPP-A is slightly low so I need to start aspirin, however I'm now very scared this means something bad is going to happen later on, I didn't even know what it was until today! Anyone been through similar?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Don't panic, the aspirin helps thin the blood slightly so that the baby receives a great supply from you via the placenta. Nutrients etc. Lots of people take it during pregnancy

My papp a was extremely low (0.22)eant baby was high risk for all 3 chromosomal issues but he is completely fine. He was born at 37 weeks as mu placenta started to fail which can be indicated by low papp a but rarely is.

thank you both, trying not to stress too much about it as I can't do anything, just trying to hope for the best outcome 🥺
