39 weeks pregnant - baby hiccups a bit faster

Just wondering if this is normal really.
I know when the baby has the hiccuping motion that they're practicing their breathing etc.
it's usually rhythmic and I'm used to the rhythm of the little thumps on my tummy.
Yesterday and today, the rhythm is a little faster than normal.
Has anyone had this? It is normal?

My DD hiccuped loads towards the end of pregnancy, but tbh I would probably phone maternity triage/your midwife about this just in case they want to monitor baby for a bit. It’s probably completely fine but they are v cautious about any changes in movement particularly at 39 weeks.

@cinnamonbiscuit
Yes I was thinking I'll ring them anyway to see what they say.
The baby does it each day, it's just been a bit faster yesterday and today so I've noticed the rhythm of it change.
I've been in quite a few times lately. I've been checked over and things have been fine. They've been really cautious with this pregnant as I've had obstetric cholostatis, and a period of reduced movements but all was fine. I also had a scan earlier this week which was fine from what they could see.
I'm actually due to have a c section next week.

Sounds like they are looking after you really well. I would tell them purely for my own peace of mind I think! I hope your c section goes smoothly!
