How did your transverse baby movements feel?

I'm due to have an induction in a few weeks but I've noticed the baby is moving a lot at the sides. Sometimes it moves across from right to left but mainly the left at the bottom to mid area of my tummy. It feels like a bum or leg digging in rather than a foot or hand.

However, if that's the case, am I right in thinking the baby is likely transverse? What were your movements like with your transverse babies?

Essentially, there's a roundish bump on the left side and I could draw a horizontal or diagonal line most of the time to my right where there's pressure on the other side. Unless the baby is doing a big move from right to left, which feels like a whole turn in there!

I had a round hard lump on my right side (turned out to the the head) and the movements for me were all extremely low down. Baby was lying across my bump with back upwards and limbs facing downwards. If you have any concerns about position you can always ring and ask to be checked. If your induction is in a few weeks then surely you will have a routine appt before then as they are at most fortnightly in the last trimester? Also they will check baby's position before inducing you anyway so don't worry about that 😊

If you're around 36/ 37 weeks I'd recommend getting in touch with your midwife to check, I was told that if my DD stayed transverse they'd admit me to hospital at 37 weeks due to risk of cord prolapse if I went into labour

Thank you for your responses. I'm going in next week for a scan and to catch up with the consultant, I think it may be my last before the planned induction so hopefully it'll be clear from that.
