I would love to know about all those! We all know the popular ones like cramps, missed period, sore boobs and fatigue and all but really want to know about the ones about which people don't talk about 😆😆!!

intense leg cramps whenever I stretch during the night, tingling in my ribs from the pressure of her pushing against them, the cramps have been excruciating though !!

RockinHorseShit · 08/07/2022 08:00

Sudden bone pain in first trimester. Stole in from nowhere & felt like I'd just had a sword shoved through whatever bones hurt & disappeared just as fast, but excruciating like breaking bones for the moments it lasted. Not the easiest thing to handle when we were trying to keep the pregnancy quiet until after the 3 month mark

Gagging to the point I'll know I'll vomit with foods that were usually favourites. A French waiter in my favourite Parisian restaurant first told me I was pregnant, when I couldn't eat the queen scallops that I'd made a special trip for& had looked forward to all month & he knew they were my favourites as I worked in Paris regularly & always ate there for their scallops .

The sudden War zone. I now know this as sensory processing disorder, but I'd never heard of it prior to pregnancy, but I'll never forget crossing a road in Paris & suddenly wanting to duck to the ground & hide as everything suddenly sounded louder, smelt stronger etc & felt major stressful like I'd suddenly been thrown into a war zone & the panic was suddenly so realConfused

Craving things I couldn't eat. I craved macdonalds burgers... I had never eaten one, nor ate any actual meat since I was a DC, but my vegetarian ass bought 3, stuffed my face like a wild animal & then promptly threw up.

Craving milk. I was lactose intolerant pre pregnancy & couldn't drink milk, nor actually liked it. Weirdly the lactose intolerance disappeared through pregnancy & breast feeding & I ended up drinking 8 litres plus a day. Lactose intolerance came back after BF ended

With my last pregnancy, I noticed the deodorant I used all the time suddenly wouldn't work for me anymore!

Garysparrowsthirdwife · 08/07/2022 11:05

my sense of smell
i could smell the local swimming baths from 100 metres-that had been shut for at least ten years by then

my nails which are flaky and snap, grew strong and long-only to flake and snap as soon as I’d given birth

hair dye took much stronger-I remember using a brownish red and when I rinsed it off,I looked like the love child of a can of coke and a matchstick

sayanythingelse · 08/07/2022 14:33

Omg the drooling! I used to have to carry a bottle or cup around with me everywhere as my mouth just keep filling up with watery saliva. It was so embarrassing at work.

Thankfully, it's calmed down now but it's only ever happened with my boy pregnancy.

Nipple dandruff

Titsflyingsouth · 08/07/2022 19:28

Really bad inflamed sinuses...for the first time in my life. weirdly they have come back with menopausal symptoms too...

allfurcoatnoknickers · 08/07/2022 19:28

I had loads of ingrown hairs. I'm not usually prone to them at all, but they were everywhere - even my eyebrows.

Crippling anxiety and depression that came out of nowhere and went away as soon as DS was born. It was like someone flicking a switch. Terrifying and bizarre.

WindyGlowers · 08/07/2022 19:35

My smell changed. At first I thought it was my sense of smell going funny, but my best friend confirmed that I did indeed smell different.

BlondePotter · 08/07/2022 20:17

@jamesspaderismine omg I'd forgotten about my sleep orgasm I had 😂 so weird

BarnacleNora · 09/07/2022 03:05

Started snoring. Apparently incredibly loudly and violently. Can well believe it because I woke myself up with it a couple of times. Wasn't due to my large bump either, it started really early on. Disappeared as soon as I'd given birth.

With my first pregnancy I started getting thrust practically as soon as I'd peed on the stick. I'd never had it before but it lasted the entire time and was miserable. NOTHING worked. Cut practically all sugar out, dr tried me on any medication that was pregnancy safe, pre/probiotics, changing underwear, laundry products, that bastard would not leave. Again, as soon as I had the baby the thrush disappeared.

Never actually vomited in pregnancy but just felt very nauseous. Completely went off leeks, the taste of them, the smell of them and I've never wanted them again even 8 years down the line.

Conversely, before being pregnant I'd never really been that fussed by hot chocolate, always felt like it was a big disappointment that smelt nice but ultimately was just brown hot water or warm milk but not flavour. During my second pregnancy I suddenly LOVED the stuff and would make special trips or excuses to take my toddler to a cafe so I could get my fix if we were out and the urge overtook me! That one has stuck around and I'm a hot chocolate convert!

Also had my armpits change colour and go darker. Kept thinking I needed to shave them but nope, just a total change in skin tone.

And yes, I also ended up with massive stretch marks across my vulva where no hair will now grow. Makes my pubic hair situation extremely patchy looking, sort of like a hairy Dalmatian which is certainly....a look. Not really sure if it's a good one or not but definitely a look.

looking for advice. Period is due in a few days, I have had back ache for about 5 days now, feel tired, sensitive nipples, have had strange dreams and also a numbness tingling sensation on my vagina which only lasted a day. I was wondering if anyone is able to help and answer are these pregnancy symptoms or just weird pms.

JohannSebastianBach · 14/07/2022 11:41

@Sarah1997147 Probably better if you start your own thread, you'll get some good advice.

tigger2022 · 14/07/2022 14:25

I got genuinely addicted to BBQ Beef Hula Hoops

Bunglemom · 14/07/2022 14:50

nipples so sore that to even look at them was painful!

and in the third trimester bubble popping sounds from the baby?! what the hell?! so loud my hubby could hear them!

WeyAyeMan · 14/07/2022 15:21

Albgo · 07/07/2022 19:20

Skin tags. No one warned me about those bastards.

Do they go away after the birth? It's my third and they've started popping up all over. Hate them

rosemarycait96 · 14/07/2022 18:30

Insane gag reflex, gagging every time I cough
A 'don't touch me, don't even come near me' attitude towards my husband

Also this is definitely not unusual, but my boobs have gone from an FF cup to what I suspect is the size of two moons. I was already massive, but now I have to lift my boobs over with me if I turn over in bed. Lol.

goldfinchonthelawn · 14/07/2022 18:33

Pica, which is a craving to eat non-food items. I used to crave gravel like some people crave crisps. I remember walking past a building site one lunch hour. All the builders where standing outside eating pork pies and I just wanted to diveinto the building and lick the wet cement off the walls! I did actually suck some clean gravel from a bag DH bought from a garden centre (not for that purpose! Grin) Apparently it's caused by lack of essential minerals. Bloody weird though.

In real life, for the entire pregnancy I couldn't stand the smell of coffee or meat and by the end, could only face eating steamed fish and steamed veg, so that's what I cooked every night for the last trimester. Poor DH.

MountainMummy95 · 14/07/2022 18:36

My hair went a much warmer shade in the third trimester. It is dark brown but went an Auburn and people kept asking me when I dyed it 🤷‍♀️

Insane swelling... I was a walking water balloon. I had no knees, no ankles, had to take of my wedding ring and had bad carpal tunnel in both hands due to fluid. I am fat (though not massive... size 12/14 and 5ft 1 so definitely chunky normally) but I looked incredibly round all over my body. Like Violet Beaueregard.

Elspethelf · 14/07/2022 18:53

I was congested for the entirety of my first pregnancy. 9 months with a blocked nose was not fun.

Things tasted different, I went to brush my teeth one morning and thought I put cream instead of toothpaste on my toothbrush. I had used toothpaste but I stopped being able to taste minty things

wibblewobbleball · 14/07/2022 18:55

Excess salvia - I had to keep going to spit in the sink Envy and I also grew a new mole which was massive and then fell off after pregnancy

ladymalfoy45 · 14/07/2022 18:56

Skin tags. And wanting to punch my husband because he couldn’t drink or sneeze or yawn without it being noisy.

PinkBump2022 · 14/07/2022 19:01

Nose bleeds every single day!!
dreaming of taking a test and it being positive before I could test positive on a home test

Dilemmaemmaaa · 17/07/2022 00:15

Mine was just feeling the baby’s head squashing my bladder so it wouldn’t fully empty then as I stood up from the toilet I’d just pee myself 🤦🏼‍♀️ happened once when I was out and it was all over my jeans, I had absolutely no control over it 😭

Suzyinthesummertime · 17/07/2022 00:32

Peeing myself at least half a dozen times a day
Acid reflux from hell- waking up at night choking and vomiting and then peeing myself at the same time
Agonising leg spasms
Skin tags
Bleeding and sore gums
Loads of cellulite!!
Piles like grapes
Veins!!
