High blood pressure - 28 + 2 weeks

Went for a 28 week growth scan and consultant appt yesterday morning (extra scans are for raised doppler and low pappa) and was admitted due to blood pressure being 152/100. I was started on 200mg of labetalol to be taken 3 times a day. Blood pressure was back to a normal level throughout the night after taking first dose. However, when I woke up this morning it’s back up to a similar reading again, even though I’ve had two more doses of medication and lay here all day… Blood test and urine is all fine. I feel disorientated, have got swollen ankles and hands and a dull headache. Baby is absolutely fine.
Has anyone else had any similar situations? Is it just a waiting game to see if the medication starts working properly? Starting to worry but don’t want to bother the midwives!

I have a history of long term high blood pressure which started in my pregnancy. I am on medication. I can take up to two weeks before medication kicks in, I know this as they tell me so as I'm frequently having to have mine increased. That said I'd personally still contact your midwife, if anything just for reassurance

Please ask the midwives. You're not going to bother them! Have they told you about any risks or anything?
