Hi ladies,

I’m almost 7 weeks into a very long awaited pregnancy and after 2 miscarriages this year. I just found out I have Covid - has anyone here had covid in early pregnancy and everything was ok?

i don’t want to hear the negative stories, just for the purpose of trying to stay positive!

thanks!

I had covid at about 8 weeks. Between the covid and the morning sickness I was wiped out for a week but fatigue was my main symptoms.
My midwifes advice was lots of fluids and rest. Take paracetamol to bring down any fever.
It wasn't fun but me and baby are both fine. Had our 20 week scan last week and baby is growing well with no concerns.

As far as I am aware there are little to no elevated risks to baby or mama in early pregnancy It is later pregnancy where it can cause some complications.
Hope you feel better soon.

I am in the same boat - almost 6 weeks pregnant but have had Covid for the past week (and still testing positive on lateral flow tests!) It's just been like a bad cold for me and I am feeling much better now (with no obvious ill effects on the pregnancy) - hopefully it will be the same for you!

I had it when I was about 8 weeks pregnant, nothing more than a bit of a cold and all was well

Ive had covid twice - second during pregnancy. My main symptoms were headache and tiredness this time (first took longer to recover) and I was back to normal within a week

Covid is rarely worse than a cold now so please don't worry. Just keep an eye on your symptoms, get support if you need it and rest when required.

I'm in exactly the same situation I found out I'm pregnant on Sunday so not 5 wks yet and since Tuesday my heads banging, I have temperature is up and down, then yesterday coughing and chest feels on fire.... Also sore throat and ears. I tested positive yesterday. I'm 44 had 3 consecutive miscarriages and I'm terrified of loosing this 1 to covid x

I had it around the 7 week mark. It was very mild fortunately. Just had my 20 week scan and all seems ok 🤞

Everything was ok for me too. I was also unvaccinated (I caught it at 7weeks before vaccinations were available). He is a healthy, lovely 11 month old.
