did anyone's baby have covid & you didnt catch if off them? and how long for baby to recover

daughter 7 months tested positive this morning, husband and i negative
she has nasty cough & unhappy

how long do babies take to recover & is there any chance we wont catch it

Is that why you're worried about catching it?

It just depends you could catch it and you could not. I hope she's okay poor child must be feeling rough. Offer lots of fluids and let her sleep as much as she wants. I pray she gets well soon. I hope you guys rest when she's sleeping too. Otherwise the lack of sleep can wipe u out.

Neither of us caught it off our two year old and she recovered within 36 hours.

My 4 month old caught it from my husband and I caught it from her. She got symptoms last Saturday, high temperature Saturday evening, Sunday and the first half of Monday. Yesterday was the first day she didn’t need Paracetamol and today she’s almost back to normal if a little tired. My symptoms started yesterday. Even wearing a mask it was unlikely that I wasn’t going to get it from her as I’m breastfeeding and we shared a room while husband was isolating.

Baby caught it off me and was poorly for about two days.

My 3yo had it a month or so ago, I was probably about 16 weeks. I didn’t catch it from him but my husband did. I have already had it twice though and had caught it from him before. It hasn’t been too bad either time though. Have you been vaccinated?

Posted too soon! Sorry! Since my last vaccination I didn’t catch it from him, but did before we’d been vaccinated (his first time round).
