This has cheered me up after a horrendous night with my newborn 😂😂😂 thank you very much

I don’t think your supposed too incase you get an infection but Iv had a tooth infection before in pregnancy and my baby was fine so I guess even if it did get infected your baby would be fine so I don’t see why not

Best way would be to talk to a body piercer. A piercing probably won't do much harm as long as it's kept clean and looked after to prevent an infection.

I have tons of piercings and had my lip done while pregnant and my son was fine. Though I use titanium bars as I'm allergic to nickel that you get in surgical steel bars.

Not worth the risk. Just have it done once baby is born.

Any reputable piercer won’t pierce you if you are pregnant.

in a mother of months - that nose ring is going to be a focal point of your baby, with the sole intention to pull it out!

Matter of months

BertieBotts · 07/07/2022 06:47

Bertie is right. I can't even wear a watch as it's always getting chewed etc

I'd wait until your baby is a toddler and your piercing will be able to heal in peace.

AmberGer · 07/07/2022 06:54

I wouldn't. I had my lip pierced for over a year before falling pregnant. During early pregnancy my body took a disliking to my piercing and started rejecting it. It's a foreign object and your body does great things to protect any threat from harming your baby.
Wait until after baby is born.

AmberGer · 07/07/2022 06:57

Saying that, an infection in the mother can pass through the umbilical cord to the baby.

I have plenty of piercings that my toddler hasn't been interested in pulling out. The trick is to give them toys to play with instead Wink

My DS has never touched my nose ring 🤣

legaltigger · 07/07/2022 08:36

I've had a nose stud and ring the entire time I've been a mother and she's only just noticed I have it! Never pulled it or yanked it. But I'm not sure a piercer will do this while you're pregnant, sorry op!

Kendodd · 07/07/2022 08:40

I wouldn't.
There might not be any danger in doing so but if you get your nose pierced, then miscarry shortly afterwards, you'll forever connect the two events and blame yourself.

Sitasita · 08/07/2022 01:05

Thanks all.
@Kendodd definitely wouldn't want this. I'll get a faker :)
