Hello ladies, I hope you're all doing well!

I am starting to freak out! Week 16 with my first baby boy and I've had a positive covid test just now!!! I've just been having a congested nose and feeling hot/cold for the past couple of days (bought a thermometer today as we're on holidays abroad and I forgot to pack it!) and don't seem to have a fever at the moment (I cannot speak for the past couple of days).... as usual Dr. Google is a scary thing mentioning all sorts of horror stories...did any of you have covid during pregnancy? Did everything turn out to be alright for the moment? I would turn to my OB/GYN but being abroad he cannot really check the baby boy either to make sure things are fine... 😔

Thank you for your support/advice/experience!

I'm 19 weeks and had it in the last week or so. Lots and lots of ladies in my pregnancy group have it at the moment and so far, touch wood we and all the babies have been fine.

The medical advice has generally been to contact your midwife and let them know as they may wish to monitor your oxygen levels. They typically arrange for an oxygen monitor to be sent to you or collected from somewhere. Not everywhere and everyone does this, but some trusts have been doing this. I'm not sure how this would work if you're abroad though and whether this is something you could source?

I saw my midwife the day I tested positive (unknowlingly, I thought I just had hayfever) and at that appointment everything was fine. Babies heartbeat normal etc and by that point i'd already had what turned out to be symptoms for about a week.

Baby has now been kicking in the last few days and i've been monitoring her heart rate so all seems fine.

I hope you feel better soon OP and everything works out ok for you.

Yes I had Covid in my 8th month of pregnancy, my older daughter brought it home from school. I felt unwell for ten days (worst on day 3) and was sooooooo tired afterwards but baby was absolutely fine! Take care of yourself and try not to worry (very difficult i know!!!)

I had it at 17 weeks, the midwife said that for a baby it's no different to when we get a cold or other virus in pregnancy, they checked in on me every few days to check I wasn't feeling breathless, and after ten days they were happy to not keep contacting me.
