I thought I had my period but tested positive 2 weeks after period ?

HI, I had my period on May 22nd and then a week before my next period I had pregnancy symptoms. I did a test around 3 days before my period and got a very very faint positive but i also thought it may have been an evap line. I did a bunch more tests. Got one more faint and the rest BFN . I then bled the day ofter my period was due on the 19th June and thought AF had arrived. I bled for 3/4 days like a normal period, cramps, bloat etc and so just assumed it was that.

Now it is the 4th of July. Im exactly midway through my cycle. Ive been feeling nauseated and fatigued, and had some weird pangs and brown discharge... same again for 2 days. Took a test thinking, I just want to make sure because i just had a feeling and I had 2 BFP. The lines both came up instantly and were very dark and obvious. But the timing is all out.

was that not a period i had?! has anyone else had this? I've contacted the midwife and am waiting for that appointment . Just really confused.

I had ‘periods’ the first 4 months of pregnancy, and random periods when on birth control that most women find stops them. My body just seems to like bleeding?!

Talk to midwife but sometimes bodies are weird, my DD came out fine despite monthly bleeds :)

I had this with my son.. A 4 day light period no symptoms.. I tested because i knew my GP would ask me, i was literally about to through the stick in the bin as i thought why bother looking.. To my suprise was a BFP! GP said it was implantation bleeding and not a period

This was my experience and is a worst case,

I had a light ish period, negative tests. 2 weeks later I suddenly felt very pregnant mid cycle but was also spotting for the first time in my life mid cycle and it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy. I contacted my GP, they should send you for 48 hourly blood tests then depending on those results a scan.

You mention weird pangs, are you in pain? If you start to get pains especially on one side, go to A&E even if it's between blood tests, don't worry about wasting anyone's time.

Spotting doesn't always mean ectopic that is worst case.

I am now pregnant now, have had clear scans all is well and I've been spotting a few weeks. I have a friend who didn't find out until 16 weeks as she had periods, she had a healthy little girl.

I hope it's a happy outcome for you, but any doubts do go to A&E
