TMI Pic Warning - Mucus plug or show? Labour soon?

This is my second and completely different to my first typically, so I feel really unprepared/what to look out for!

I'm nearly 38 weeks and the past week or two I've had period cramps but the last couple of days they've been stronger. For days now I've been getting constant tightenings (every 5-10 minutes) and along with period cramps and mild pains I've got what looks like either parts of my mucus plug/show starting or is it just discharge? I'm guessing what I've been getting is just constant BH, but just wondering if labour is near or if I should just be prepared to still wait a while 😂

I had monitoring for reduced movements Friday which turned out fine, then on Saturday baby was quite active.

Also forgot to add the last two days I've had really loose stools/diarrhoea 😩

Hi OP,

Call your midwife. That looks like part of the plug and what you're describing sounds like contractions. Good luck x

@MotherofKitties
Thank you! 😊 When I went for monitoring it was picking up regular tightenings, but she said it is probably just BH.

I'm finding it hard to time as it feels constant, so just gathering it's not the real deal as it was quite obviously contractions the first time around!

My first labour was quite quick so I'm just worried about making it in time! x
