Hi everyone currently 7+5 and have been having slight feelings of nausea for a while now. Today and yesterday it was awful. Not actually being sick . But all day feeling like I’m going to be sick. This has left me feeling so poorly , I’m trying to force myself to eat and drink. I’ve been going to sleep at 8 when dd does. As soon as I lie down and close my eyes the room is spinning. I know people on cyclizine. However they say it makes them even more tired. I’m napping when possible between my job and my daughter. I just don’t know if it’s going to be a positive thing for me to ask for at the gp. Has anyone else lessened the awful nausea feeling with any remedies. Thankyou

People will come on and tell you to do stuff like eat ginger biscuits but honestly, cyclizine is the way forward! It didn’t make me feel more tired.

Orhersiwe, lots of rest, fluids, salty fluids and knowing it will pass helps

Eat regularly even if you have to force yourself. Plain toast, crackers, crisps.

Those wrist bracelets have worked for me, with the acupressure bead. You can get them cheap on Amazon.

Cyclizine didn't make me drowsy, but also did nothing for my all day nausea either! Might be worth a go. From my experience if it doesn't help, don't hesitate asking for something else. All day nausea is horrendous especially with a toddler to look after. I lost 8 weeks of my life before I managed to get something to stop the nausea (4th prescription lucky - ondansetron) and am still medicated now at 24 weeks - have been out all day today so took my morning dose earlier than usual and started feeling really queasy in the car on the way home as it had started to wear off.

Also check out the hyperemesis thread as they have some great tips for things to eat and drink to help when you are struggling.
