31 weeks and covid positive

Hi
Has anyone else tested positive in third trimester? I’m fine just a sore throat but obviously worried for baby. Do you get any additional scan or anything? I haven’t been able to contact my own midwife to speak to her yet but will keep trying

Hi, just wondering how you got on? I’m 31 weeks and just tested positive too, all the symptoms and just feel exhausted but baby movements are absolutely fine!

I had Covid at 27 weeks. It was no problem. I'm in Spain so I was able to speak to the gynocologist (who is also the head of gynocology and obstetrics at a major city hospital so he knows his stuff) direct via email and he was not concerned. I think it's only an issue if the mother becomes very very unwell but the likelihood is that you won't.

I had covid at 32 weeks. No additional care but I did speak to my midwife who gave lots of advice etc.

I'd had 3 vaccinations and had covid previously (at about 5 weeks pregnant). No issues and minor symptoms. Baby was fine.

I also had covid during pregnancy around 20 weeks (gutted as I had to delay my 20week scan). I was vaccinated so symptoms were tolerable but I was exhausted. My midwife wasn't concerned at all when I phoned.
Rest, paracetamol and don't hesitate to seek help if your symptoms worsen x
