IONA NIPT - sex of baby

Just got my results (test done at 11 weeks) and shows fetal sex as female! I thought this would make it all feel a bit more real, but now I have just convinced myself that it could be wrong and I should just wait until the 20 week scan for the hospital to check before telling anyone. Has anyone had this test, and found the results to be wrong?

One minute I feel so excited and want to buy a few things so it sinks in, and the next I have convinced myself not to because it'll probably be a boy! No idea why I am doubting it so much. Did anyone else feel like this?

If there was a Y chromosome in the fetal DNA, it would have showed up. You're definitely having a girl!

IONA is very accurate at even low cell free fetal DNA volumes. Congrats on your daughter x

NIPT is very accurate and unlikely to be wrong.

The estimated fetal fraction was 9%, which I think is slightly below the minimum average (10%). But I suppose it should still be enough shouldn't it, if it wasn't it would have been inconclusive.

I am sure it will sink in soon!
