Thinking about baby #2 while pregnant with baby #1

Anyone else do this?

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I've been VERY lucky and had a very easy pregnancy so far, as much as I can't wait to meet baby I know I'm going to miss being pregnant!

I've always wanted children close in age but I've found myself thinking about when I can get realistically (physically and financially) get pregnant with baby #2 even though I've still got 3 months to go with #1! Is it hormones? Am I going mad? Seems nuts to be thinking about this when I've never had a newborn before!

My brain is saying slow down, see how this one goes first...but my heart can't stop thinking about baby #2! Did anyone else do this?? Is it normal??

I loved being pregnant too and had a pretty easy ride of it. I wasn’t quite dreaming of number 2 but I wanted them close together as I’m a bit older. My lo is now 2 and I only just feel like I’m getting a bit of my life back (so now I’m expecting number 2 😂) It took me a lot longer to get through the all consuming baby stage and the exhaustion than I thought it would.
From a health point of view, we are advised to wait at least a year before trying for another one - there is increased risk of low birth weight, prematurity and (for yourself) vitamin deficiency (even if you are on supplements - babies are such little parasites!)
good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x
