HPV high grade cells

Hello!

hoping someone can help me with some don’t panic/inspiring stories (not here for you’re gonna die please…🤣)

Had 2 smears with HPV present, second smear had abnormal cells. Went to have biopsies and the nurse said she was 99.9% sure they’re high grade CIN2 or 3. Her parting words were ‘whatever you do don’t get pregnant before I’ve taken those cells out’

WELL GUESS WHAT. My period that was due 3 days later never came and I’m currently on my 6th positive test…… I called the nurse and asked her and she said I would be referred to a consultant and monitored and then the cells removed once I’ve had the baby.

just wondering if anyone else has had this?? My OH is adamant my health comes first and if they need to come out they come out no matter what the risks but I’m wondering if it’s safe to be monitored and leave it?

thanks,
very scared gal x

Well absolutely NOBODY will envy the decision you have to make, we can only comment on what we think we would do in your situation.
My feeling would be to sort my health urgently, if delaying could mean treatment limiting your ability to parent and bond or a shorter life with your child.
But it's got to be your decision
I'm sure there must be qualified counsellors to help you figure it out.
Whatever you choose make sure it's the right choice for you
