Bleeding at 6+2, heartbeat on scan, still bleeding. Aspirin and progesterone questions

Hi everyone. I'm 6+2 today and had some bleeding start this morning, bright red. Went to a&e and eventually got a scan which showed a baby with a heartbeat and measuring the right size. This was of course so reassuring, but the bleeding is still happening (not super heavy but dark pink and definitely there) and I'm also still having mild cramps. They said they couldn't see a reason for the bleeding. I've had two previous MC this year so they gave me progesterone pessaries, 400mg to take twice daily.
I've just been googling and now wondering if I should also take aspirin.
Just wondering if others have been in this position and baby ended up being ok 😥😥 and whether you would recommend aspirin too? I'm just feeling really worried, confused and sad.

Hi, if you've had 2 MCs this year already, I'd strongly suggest taking the baby aspirin and progesterone pessaries from ovulation next time, if this time it doesn't work out again.

But fingers and toes and everything crossed it is all fine!

Why not, the 75mg low dose can't do any harm!

I have an ivf pregnancy (so am already taking cyclogest) - I had bleeding around 5 weeks - saw my consultant and baby was OK. Had more bleeding - scan at 8 weeks and all ok.

Due to previous losses I have been recommended aspirin. HOWEVER- discussed with my consultant and he said (and I agreed) do not take aspirin if bleeding. It thins the blood and increases the risk of bleeding.

So I am taking progesterone, but have stopped aspirin.

I had this, I done ivf. I was in for scans and everything was fine.
Couldn't find a cause for the bleeding tbh, I was in progesterone anyway and nothing was said about aspirin, but as pp it thins the blood?

I went on to have a healthy pregnancy and a lovely little boy.

How much are you bleeding? Filling a pad?

My friend had a period every month in her pregnancy!

Hi all, thanks so much. Yes I was worried about aspirin if it thins the blood. Maybe I'll not take it until I can speak to a doctor. I'm still bleeding and have had a few very small clots in it too 😥😥 I'm so scared and stressed. I just don't understand how the baby can be ok if this is happening. I've not filled a pad yet @HSKAT but I have worn a couple of diff ones so can't be sure it wouldn't have filled if I'd just had same one on. But I don't think so... But it's definitely very red / pink ATM and a few clots

Ah sorry, @Skylark1990 I read too fast and completely missed what you asked. 😫The other posters are right, best not to start aspirin now if you're already bleeding.
Try it next time, as I said, if things don't work out this time.

I bled from 5 weeks till 14 weeks on and off with similar symptoms and they are now 7 years old. Don’t loose hope, try to stay calm and relax (I know that’s super hard) Sending you lots of positive vibes!
