Hello, first post here.

On cycle day 45, cycle is all over the place and always has been really.

I had light brown spotting on Wednesday the 15th, which is unusual for me.

So I'm guessing I'm due my AF tomorrow if I ovulated? The first picture is within the timeframe and a bit edited so it's easier to see on camera as it didn't seem to want to pick it up and the second one is the same test but hours later.

I bought the tests on amazon and are FRER so unsure how reliable they are.

Opinions please? TIA

You can only go off the one that was read in the timeframe and I think I might see the start of something.
Test again day after tomorrow.

loopshot · 28/06/2022 21:25

I can see something but yeah test again Thursday

Cookiecrumble22 · 28/06/2022 21:26

I can see an extremely faint line in the first picture. But I definitely would not trust a line that faint. The other looks slightly darker. But as you say that was hours later of the same test.

I would definitely do another. Fingers crossed 🤞

bbqhulahoop · 28/06/2022 21:28

It's a very faint line for cd45. I'd get a pack from the pound shop and do a few days in a row of FMU and see how it goes? You're not out, just not in yet either

CloudyVenus · 28/06/2022 21:45

Thank you all. Usually my tests are stark white and not a hint of a line, even hours after.

However it's the first time trying from amazon so I'm a bit cautious whether it's a dodgy test or not.

Update: got this about 4 minutes in this morning. Starting to think these tests are faulty. This picture is completely unedited this time.

May be easier to see on this one.

I've seen another thread on here. Someone who's husband has had the snip did a test and got a very faint line. The following day she got her period! I wouldn't trust the test

Flederjo · 01/07/2022 07:18

Can't see anything on the latest one, OP 😕

CloudyVenus · 01/07/2022 07:24

No idea if HPT's can even be trusted anymore with the amount of faint lines they make. Still have no AF and had some minor cramps yesterday afternoon. Just want something to happen! 😂

I was hoping I ovulated when I got some spotting just over 2 weeks ago but I guess not. On cycle day 48 today.

Oh I feel you as I'm on cycle day 35 with no positive test but no af either. I have no idea what's going on at the mo

loopshot · 01/07/2022 07:29

Go to the doctors and ask for a blood test if you can. That's prob the most reliable at the minute

CloudyVenus · 01/07/2022 07:45

My cycles have always been all over the place but never had any cysts or anything so no clue why it happens. I will continue just waiting it out I think! I'm guessing maybe I just didn't ovulate this month and will get it on cycle day 70 or something 🤣 @Noodle20 makes me feel a bit better that I'm not the only one! Hopefully something happens to us soon.

OP posts:
Noodle20 · 01/07/2022 07:59

@CloudyVenus yeh it does make me feel abit better I'm not the only one too. My cycle, I think, is still adjusting having come off the pill in April, however it's never taken this long to regulate soil just going to wait it out for a little while longer.
It's frustrating though isn't it? I'm sure it's our bodies way of telling us something too

CloudyVenus · 01/07/2022 08:44

@Noodle20 by something wrong do you mean medically wrong? My mother's cycles used to be every 2-3 months she told me so god knows how she did it!

OP posts:
Noodle20 · 01/07/2022 08:46

@CloudyVenus no not wrong just that maybe we need to stop worrying or stressing over things. I think mine is telling me to slow down in general

Noodle20 · 09/07/2022 09:47

@CloudyVenus how are you doing??

CloudyVenus · 09/07/2022 10:01

@Noodle20 hello, nice to hear from you. I still don't have AF and now on day 56. Kind of given up on taking the tests now 😞. How have you been keeping?

OP posts:
Noodle20 · 09/07/2022 10:39

@CloudyVenus ooh how strange, I understand how you feel, do you think you've skipped ovulation this month and therefore have gone straight onto the next cycle? I hear this can happen.
Do you track using an app as they've never been accurate for me but obviously you are the only one who knows your body and what's the norm for you?

CloudyVenus · 09/07/2022 11:32

@Noodle20 I've been thinking that it is a possibility to be honest, and yes, I do but as I have been on the mini pill for many years, it's hard to know exactly how long my cycles are as my doctors wouldn't allow me to take ones with estrogen in due to suffering with migranes as a child. I have been feeling very hungry and been gagging a lot this week, but I get acid reflux sometimes so not unusual for me. My cycles were also all over the place as a teenager but I basically went on contraception when they should of evened out a bit if that makes sense as I only had AF occasionally for about 2 years before starting contraception so I actually don't have a single clue! I hope the contraception hasn't affected anything. Doctors did hormone tests at the time about a year before I started contraception, but they all appeared normal.

OP posts:
Noodle20 · 09/07/2022 13:06

@CloudyVenus oh wow you certainly have been through the mill haven't you? Maybe it's worth another trip to the GP so they can run some more blood tests to check hormone levels etc
I'm sorry you're going through this though, it's certainly not what you want when TTC

CloudyVenus · 13/07/2022 21:22

@Noodle20 cycle day 60 and still nothing! Still very early days so I will wait a while and see how it goes. Hopefully no issues though. I've heard cycles can be all over the place after stopping contraception? I was taking it for a long time as well.

OP posts:
CloudyVenus · 19/07/2022 13:04

@Noodle20 day 66 and finally getting some dark brown spotting a few hours ago although not had any AF symptoms I don't think so maybe AF is coming now? Feels slightly stabby in my uterus after seeing that spotting but no cramps yet!

OP posts:
CloudyVenus · 22/07/2022 13:21

I had brown spotting for about a day or two and now it's been two days since it had stopped and its not got any heavier or red but I am getting some cramping since especially today. No idea what's happening now!
