Sorry I know it's graphic but it's worried me!
The last couple of days I've noticed a weird yellow tinged discharge fried on my pantyliners, only a small amount but enough to notice, it's like it almost had flecks in it... hard to describe. Doesn't look like any kind of yeast infection discharge and doesn't smell.

Anyway, last night i had a small amount of light brown pink discharge which I didn't think much of as I've spotted throughout this pregnancy so far. Then last night I started with a stinging/burning feeling inside my vagina canal. Now this morning I've had this.
It's like mud! I've been told I've got group b strep recently but they said it doesn't cause any symptoms unless it's in your urine, which mine is not apparently.
Could it be from this or something else ?
I'm 25+1 and baby has been moving normally

Sorry for the pic but wtf is that !!

Hmm, that looks like it could be a bit of your mucus plug
it’s not big enough to be the whole thing, but worth phoning the midwife about at 9….

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 28/06/2022 06:46

@SW1amp I've just googled some pics of brown mucus plug and it does look similiar. I've had normal pregnancy m discharge and what I've thought is part of my plus throughout, the jelly like yellow stuff but this is new.
I can never get through to my midwife do you think the hospital would check me over if I called ?

If it was me I'd go in to get checked out this morning OP. Yes they should want to see you, if they don't then push for it.

WorkEvent · 28/06/2022 06:53

Yes telephone your hospital’s triage or day assessment unit. It can be quite normal to lose some plug and then have it regenerate but best to check that you aren’t dilating.

SW1amp · 28/06/2022 07:11

They might want to check your cervix and make sure it’s closed

give them a call and see what they say, but try and stay away from Google in the meantime because you’ll only read worst case scenario stuff

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 28/06/2022 07:15

Thanks everyone. Google is never my friend ! I'm going to call them as soon as I've done the school run.
Is it possible it's an infection?

Forgot to mention last night I've had a really sore pubic bone, like it aches. Does that mean anything ? I thought it was just pgp but making me wonder now

I lost bits of plug from about 24 weeks onwards - probably of similar size, and there was never a problem. Worried me at the time though. Good you're getting checked out though.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 28/06/2022 09:25

Glad you are getting checked, best of luck!

Was it the same colour ?

So when I got here I had to explain and someone said it could be thrush. Haven't been checked yet though.

Does that look like thrush discharge ?? I always thought it was white thick and clumpy if it's a yeast infection...

No, it doesn’t look like thrush. It looks like the mucous plug. I hope everything is okay Flowers

Whiskeypowers · 28/06/2022 14:21

Yes that looks like the plug
hope all is ok

yes it was

Well I was saw by a consultant in the end, she wasn't even sure what it was lol. I asked if it could be my plug and she said no, she seems to think it's just old blood that's been dislodged. My cervix is closed and no sign of active bleeding, they did a high swab again too.

She did suggest the blood thinners I'm on could be causing these episodes of spotting I keep having every couple of weeks.
