C section belly support

Hello,
I have heard that wearing a support bad after a c section helps with pain and healing. Does anyone have any experience of using one, if so, which one did you use and were you able to use it straight after the op?
thank you!

I've not used one (two c-sections) but I'd be concerned about a band making the area hot and more prone to infection and bacteria growth.

I asked my midwife and she said they advised against it, and it's best to leave it to heal naturally, particularly for the first 6 weeks.

I’ve had 3 and never used one, they want the area clean and dry to avoid infection at least until the scar is healed. I tended to have big knickers that went over my scar on and loose clothing that wasn’t going to rub x

Deffo big cotton knickers (so no digging into the scar) it’s all about keeping the area clean and dry. I have a belly so I had to kind sit sometimes ‘airing’ the area especially as so much time is spent hunching over feeding.
