5-6 Weeks pregnant bleeding and cramping

Hey guys I found out I was pregnant and due on 6th feb 23.

Had some light spotting for 2 days 2 weeks ago and again last week which has turned into full period for the past 6 days.

Had a early scan just after the spotting got worse which showed there was a gestatIonal sac With a yolk sac With no feral pole.

They advised everything was as normal but too early for a heart beat.

since the scan period like bleeding has not stopped, which comes and goes with cramp pains.

I have been reading up and these symptoms are a sign of miscarriage however some people mentioned they do have these symptoms and everything is fine.

just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this.

Hi Victoria, I’m really sorry to say that the same thing happened to me and it was a miscarriage. The midwives advised me to wait a week or two and take another pregnancy test which confirmed it - but after about a week, I knew anyway because I found the tissue (my second baby that wasn’t meant to be😪) when I wiped. I hope this is not the case for you! Have you called your midwife? Xxx

I am so sorry to hear your loss. Can I ask how long you was bleeeing for and how heavy.
how long did you wait after starting to bleed to do another test.
I have to wait 2 weeks from the last scan to go beck for another xx

thank you! I really hope that my example is not the same for you - I also read that sometimes bleeding can be quite normal!

for me, the bleeding lasted just over a week- maybe 8 days and it was just like a period; red blood and a reasonable amount every time I went to the toilet to check. Then towards the end of the 8 days, I started to see little blobs of tissue coming out too :(

I took another pregnancy test 3 weeks after the bleeding started… but by the time I took it, I only took it to confirm by body didn’t think it was pregnant anymore because I already knew that baby had passed through my body and out (which I think is one of the main concerns with miscarriages).

I hope you are feeling ok? I really keep my fingers crossed this is different for you. When I called the midwife at first, she did say bleeding can be normal… but I think only a scan or test will be able to confirm for you. Xxx

Thank you for sharing, I’m on day 7 of bleeding now which is just like a period with the cramping pains on and off.

I have another scan booked in but this is not to 05/07 so it’s such a wait.

So the bleeding has stopped, pregnancy test today still says pregnant but i know this can remain the same for a while. I have now got some pains in my stomach and some pains in my bum 😬 comes and goes in waves. Did you experience any of this xx

Unfortunately I have also experienced this and it did progress to a miscarriage

Yes this is my feeling, just a long wait for the scan just won’t to be told now to confirm.

Yes - that was also similar to my experience. If you prepare yourself for the worst, anything better is a real positive. I’m really keeping my fingers crossed for you as it really is a difficult thing. Sending lots of love xxx

Yh I have got that in my head but my partner is slightly more the positive type 😬

All confirmed today that I did have a miscarriage :(

Victoria I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my first pregnancy a few weeks ago and feel your pain. Everyone deals with things differently, but I would say that there's a podcast called "the worst girlgang ever" (they're also on Instagram) where they discuss pregnancy loss and honestly I found it so comforting to be able to put what I was feeling into words.
