Confused Test Result

Hi
At my first midwife appointment I had bloods done and one was a haemoglobinopathy screen. As far as I'm aware this is to look for blood disorders which all seems to be fine but on my results it said the following information. I've copied, word for word from results...

Haemoglobinopathy screen (FOQ)

Family Origin of woman value F-
England scotland Northern Ireland wales

Family Origin of father value E - Poland, Romania, Russia

My question is, are these the ethnic backgrounds of myself and my partner because they aren't accurate? He is, White British with Irish descent. He is 100% the father without any kind of doubt at all. Ive not even looked at another man let alone anything else! I'm worried that if he sees this he's going to freak out! Having been cheated on by all his ex partners I know this would destroy him if he had any doubts about our baby. Obviously I know he is the father and I have always been faithful to him. Can anyone help me to understand these results because I'm so confused. If anyone has mixed origins it's myself as my grandmother is a mix of many backgrounds from all over Europe.

Thanks

I'm confused, are these your blood results?

Are you both having genetic testing? Why would the midwife take your DPs blood ?

@Domino13 maybe you could post a photo of the results with your personal info covered.
FOQ refers to the questionnaire, which I assume you filled out. 🤔

When I went for my 12 week scan I was asked to confirm some info that the midwife had entered at my booking appointment. She had entered me as white Irish, I’m not so she had obviously just incorrectly picked the wrong option. Is this something that could have happened?

Domino13 · 24/06/2022 21:23

@overthinkersanonnymus yes they are just my blood results. No tests have been done on my partner. Think I need to contact midwife on Monday because I'm very confused.

@Flederjo I tried but because it's a hospital app I can't screen shot it.

@TruffleShuffles I'm assuming this could be what has happened.

It's just an admin error. There's no possible way of determining your baby's paternity from your blood test so if your partner sees the test results, just tell him it's a mistake on the paperwork because that's all it is.

Don't sweat it 😊

@overthinkersanonnymus thank you, that makes me feel better. I will get in touch with midwife next week.
