Sore boobs help please!

I'm 4w+4 pregnant and my boobs are so so sore! They ache, are a bit swollen and are tender to touch.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to relive them? They're so uncomfortable if I had this much pain in any part of my body normally I'd take paracetamol/Ibuprofen but I don't think that's reccomended.

Since covid I already mostly wear cotton braletts as I wfh, but are there any styles that would be better? All the ones online seem to be for breastfeeding not early pregnancy.

Thank you!!

I don't have much advice but just wanted you to know it's normal and fairly common. I bought some lovely soft bras and seamless bralettes in M&S but it didn't make much of a difference. Your boobs are undergoing some internal changes and you might find they change size & shape over the next few weeks as well. I didn't think anything like that would happen until I was in the third trimester but I went up a cup size by 6 weeks!

I'm 16 weeks now and while they can still hurt the odd time (particularly when getting changed) it's nothing like as bad as it was early on. I hope the pain eases for you soon.

Thanks - will check out M&S but sounds like you didn't find a different bra the answer. Surely if it's normal someone must have invented something to help?? I'm desperate...

Oh dear my boobs have already grown two cup sizes since having the implant out even before I got pregnant 😬

You can get gel pads for boobs that can be made cold or heated up depending on what works for you.

I suffer from chronic mastalgia , there really isn't anything you can do. Roll on menopause for me!

OP they're sore because the pregnancy hormones are causing them to change. Growing pains, if you will. Just part of pregnancy....you'll most likely discover other delightful symptoms along the way 😁

Try cool/cold compresses! And a more supportive bra if they hurt more when you're walking, exercising etc.

Oh I didn't know you could get special compresses for them - I will try and find some. Thank you 😊
