Scared to tell work

So I work as a nanny . I've just found out I'm pregnant (5 weeks) so obviously not going to tell my work until I've had my scan. I'm so scared to tell the family...they need me for anouther year but obviously won't be. I didn't expect to fall pregnant first time trying and now I'm worrying about this. I know anything can happen and still early days but I am getting worried.

You don’t need to tell them for ages yet. They can find a new nanny, so I really wouldn’t worry about it. As we all find out eventually, no one is indispensable.

Yes they’ll be briefly inconvenienced but I’m sure they’ll be happy for you. If not, then sod them.
