Is this considered severe constipation?

Hi everyone.

im 15 weeks pregnant and have only been going for a poo once a week for about 6 weeks.

is it normal for it to make my whole abdomen feel swollen (right up to where my bra sits!!) and has anyone tried glycerol?

I pleaded with my doctor today and was sent away with suppositories. Nervous!

Definitely use those suppositories, and then take Macrogol (different brand names) every day to keep things soft. You poor thing! 😱

Glycerol saved me in pregnancy!

No that is definitely not normal! I had pretty bad constipation (not that bad though!) in my first pregnancy and the resulting inflammation likely contributed to my irritable uterus and ultimately my preterm delivery, do I would take it seriously, too.

Feel your pain op I was like this but it was 11 years ago now. It's the pregnancy hormones I think the gp said the progesterone slows the gut right down? She wouldn't give me certain meds because of pregnancy and was given lactulose syrup, vile but worked!

Okay, so I’ve taken a suppository that’s to work within the hour… Nothing! What do you think????
