Bleeding, cramping and measuring behind & no HB!

Hi everyone. I’m new here and just came on to see if anyone has experienced what I’m going through in early pregnancy.

After bleeding bright red blood with clots for a couple of days, I had a scan at the epu yesterday. I should have been 6+5 but the fetus was measuring just 2.8mm (a week or so behind) and no heartbeat detected. They’re weren’t overly concerned about the bleeding and cramps as they said they could see the fetus and it’s in the right place. They’ve told me I need to go back in for a rescan next Monday to see if there’s any progress but it’s not looking good, due to the size. I should be 7 weeks today.
Just wondering if anyones been in the same boat and what happen? I’ve never felt so down in my life. Thanks in advance lovelies x

I'm so sorry I didn't want to read and run. Have you got your dates right? Please try to stay positive as they've said baby is in the right place...which is a good sign. I'm not really sure what to say but I know how it feels in these situations. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks but there was nothing there no sac nothing x

My first EPAU scan I thought I was 6+6 and measured 5+4, no HB. Went back 13 days later and then measured 6+5 with HB. I was very concerned. I'd had a bleed and some spotting. Now I'm 16+2 and had a scan yesterday to confirm a baby boy. My EDD is 6 days behind where it "should" have been from LMP. But all seems to be going okay as of now. In your position it's hard to know and all you can do is wait for your next scan. It's the worst wait but I hope everything goes well for you 💐

i'm so sorry you're going through this, it's really hard but do try not to worry. Bleeds are normal in pregnancy and not automatically a sign of something wrong. Additionally, 6+5 is still not overly concerning for no HB, especially if there is some potential leeway in your dates. On the size, that can be impacted by incorrect dates and also, it's just really hard to measure accurately at that size.

Hope you get clarity soon and go on to have a smooth pregnancy.

Thanks ladies for your reassurance. It’s just one of those things isn’t it, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. My LMP was 4th May and I’m quite regular with my cycle. I think it’s the bleeding worrying me. It’s like a light period now 😞
I will keep you all updated. I’m booked in again for a scan Monday at 9.40.

Sorry to hear hun. Unfortunately my bleeding has worsened. I’m wearing a sanitary towel now as I’m getting a lot more clots, and basically it’s become like a period. I’ve been cramping
all day and night, so I’m certain I’m miscarrying. The pains are like contractions. My scan will confirm everything on Monday. Hope your outcome is better x

I’m so sorry and I hope it isn’t the worse. I know how your feeling and the not knowing is the hardest.
how long have you been bleeding for I’m now on my 6 day with bleeding and cramps x

I'm so sorry for both of you. Please rest and take it easy. Don't blame yourselves. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and I remember sobbing so hard downstairs and then trying to live with it. I hope you're both okay. Keep reaching out to people on here if you're struggling.

It started off really light. So a browny mucas type. Which eventually turned pinky mucas. It feels like such a blur but I think I’ve been bleeding properly now for 4-5 days. Today has been the worst as I’ve passed huge clots and my cramps are unbearable. I’m pretty sure I’m passing products. Its mentally and physically draining. I just have a total meltdown. I hope you’re ok? Are you cramping really badly?

your miscarriage too 😔 It really is the worst thing ever. This will be my
second one now. My first was 8 years ago but its all come back to me with a flood of emotions. I remember the same type of cramps and clotting. Ugh. Just want this over with now.

It sounds horrible…I started of really light pink for 2 days a couple of weeks ago with a day with cramps.
nothing again until last Saturday which hasn’t stopped yet this is dark red blood stringy with small clots. Cramps are on and off.pad don’t get completely full but bleeding every time I go toilet x

I’m sorry you have to go through this. Are you seeing anyone about it?

I am due for another scan on 05/07 which is two weeks from the last one. The bleeding has now stopped after 7 days. Some stomach pain however getting pain on and off up my bum now 😬 googled this and this can be from pregnancy or a miscarriage.

I am hoping it’s pregnancy related. Good luck hun and keep us updated x

Hey how did you get on with your scan x

Hi hun. They didn’t actually scan me because she said protocol is to
wait two weeks and it’s only been one. I told her I’ve bled heavily and from that she said ‘yeah sorry you’ve most likely miscarried’ - such a cold woman! She said to do a pregnancy test next Monday and if it’s still positive come in for a scan. Appalled at home they treat you in epu these days 😭

That’s pretty rubbish…my scan is on Tuesday which is two weeks from the last one. I’m still getting some slight cramping but no bleeding. Are you still bleeding xx

It’s my 10th day bleeding now - the clots have stopped but I’m still bleeding enough to show about 5cm x 2cm of blood on a pad. Sorry don’t know how else to describe how much! Tmi but non when I go for a wee. Cramping has stopped. I do believe I have mc’d - I have no symptoms just tiredness but that could be from the blood loss 😢 My pregnancy test is still positive but that could be the hcg taking its time. I would have been 8 weeks today. Have you done a pregnancy test hun? Praying for you - roll on Tuesday x

I bleed for 7, once that stopped that stopped the following day bum cramps started happening with lower stomach cramps which is still ongoing. When I eat the pains continue. Constipated also 😬.
yh I’ve been doing the tests every other day, this is my last one, but all the ones before i
used a different test. This second line is very faint which indicate the HGC level is low. But not sure what this is meant to look like at possible 7 weeks.

Poor you. I was constipated too! On laxatives now! I’ve heard lines get fainter as the pregnancy progresses so who knows hun.

Oh god hope your feeling ok today…I’ve never heard lines can get fainter as pregnancy progresses. All I’ve ready is that get fainter when having a miscarriage :(

I saw a thread on here somewhere. It said as you progress 8+ weeks, the lines become lighter. Hang in there my lovely. Wishing you all the best. Please let us know how you get on on Tuesday x
