Hi everyone, hoping someone can talk me down. I’m 5w2d, and my toddler has just come down with something pretty horrible. I’m currently lying in bed with them and they have a temp of nearly 40 poor thing 😞 realistically, I’m going to catch this. And sooner rather than later.

However, it’s also night time so I’ve convinced myself the baby will get something horrible due to the fever I feel I’m destined for… anyone tell me the baby will be okay? Thanks so much

Your baby will be fine. Take paracetamol to reduce fever if you get one, stay hydrated, rest, etc etc.

Your toddler may be sick with a virus you’ve already had and immune to, so you may not catch it. Pregnancy is anxiety inducing but try not to worry

@Apandemicyousay thank you, hadn’t thought of that. I feel really sorry for her. And yes I feel pregnancy turns off the rational part of me completely!

@Flederjo thank you, really appreciate your sensible words. Will try to focus on what I can do to help
