Stomach growing, one faint positive test, lots of negatives?

Hi I am freaking out and wanted opinions... I have been feeling unusual for about 4 months now, I noticed in April my stomach was more noticeable, at the time I put it down to a bit of weight gain, but now in June my stomach has grown even more, so much its hard to hide, but it looks odd as the rest of me is the same size as always? I had a few days of vomiting on early may... a very light 3 day period at the end of May... And a couple of days ago had spotting and a very very faint positive pregnancy test.. I'd assume I'm pregnant.. but have done a bunch of other tests since over the last couple of days and they've all been negative... I'll go docs soon but I feel they never take me seriously so I try not to go.

I thought at 4 months thar pregnancy tests are useless, as you stop producing the hcg hormone. At 4 months you'd have a placenta instead.

I'd be asking for a scan? As I think you may be pregnant!

Some people do have a period in pregnancy.

You need to get on the phone to gp

pastabest · 21/06/2022 17:34

Have you been pregnant before?

ladydimitrescu · 21/06/2022 17:36

Yes you're very likely pregnant - go to the doctor.

WutheringMights · 21/06/2022 17:47

I'm 4.5 months pregnant and out of curiosity, I just did an internet cheapie and it showed a clear positive.

I can see a faint second line in your test @Grapefruit90 but maybe it should be stronger gong by how far along you could be.

Definitely contact your GP and ask for a scan. If that's not a pregnancy bump, you may have something else going on. It could be something like a cyst on your ovary but it's always worth getting unusual abdominal bloating checked out.

Of course they'll take it seriously, if you've had faint positive and no periods or just spotting, you need a dating scan to check you are pregnant or perhaps they can tell by a blood test.
Any other symptoms, breast changes, nausea?

seaUrchinOne · 21/06/2022 18:01

Even if its not pregnancy, there could be another health issue, always see a doctor to find out the cause.

browniesandcakes · 21/06/2022 18:23

Would you like to be pregnant

Grapefruit90 · 21/06/2022 18:31

I've been pregnant 10 years ago, it was a very easy pregnancy, and I wouldn't mind if I were pregnant again it'd be happy. I've just tried to make an appointment with my gp online and it says there's no appointments until July?!.. Maybe I should try out of hours.. I don't know if 111 would be angry if I call with this as its a concern rather than an emergency..

Ring at 8 for same day

miltonj · 21/06/2022 18:52

Maybe if you call the GP reception they may refer you directly to the Early pregnancy unit. Worth a try.

HSKAT · 21/06/2022 19:34

You need to ring first thing to get an app.
Explain what's going on and I would assume they'll get you in pretty quick

browniesandcakes · 23/06/2022 22:36

Any update

Squiff70 · 24/06/2022 08:49

If it helps, I don't think that test is positive. The line isn't central and CB are notorious for evaps which is what yours looks like.

There might be something gynaecological going on (such as ovarian cysts) which may be causing your abdominal symptoms. You really need to book in with your GP and get somebody to look at you.

Grapefruit90 · 24/06/2022 18:00

No updates yet, any problems and my GP always tells me to see if the issue goes away with my next period.. Which is due end of month, so I will see if it comes, and go from there. If the swelling doesn't go away at least I can tell them it didn't go away with my period then.

I have heard about evap lines but the result came up before the 10 mins mark.

Will update when there's an update thanks got your support everyone
