12 week scan

I have read on nhs website that this scan can be anywhere between 10-14 weeks.

Just wondering how long lovely mummas on here had to wait until? I live in Wales if that makes any difference ❤️

This pregnancy was 12 weeks 3 days when I had my 12 week scan.

Just had mine at 11 weeks 4 days

Just had my first midwife appointment today so now waiting for the scan date to come through.
With my first, my scan I was 12 weeks & 3 days and that was in early 2021

I had mine at 13 weeks 3 days. I didn't think it would be this late as I had contacted midwife as soon as I found out at 5 weeks and had my booking appointment at 8 weeks!

@Mamitobe2023 also wales! Had my letter through and my scan is at 12 +5!

I had a reassurance scan at 7+4 and baby was measuring bang on, and had a lovely heartbeat! HOWEVER, I am anxious for 12 week scan now! Nothing bad happened in previous scan to suggest I have anything to worry about, just feel anxious something bad will happen full stop 🙈🙈😮‍💨

@Mamitobe2023 I think most women feel the anxiety around pregnancy, even if they haven't had a miscarriage before, so your completely normal!

I did find it helped me to schedule in some private scans which helped keep me at ease , I had a privste scan at 8 weeks, 11 weeks and then my nhs scan 13 weeks! I am gonna book a private gender scan at 17 weeks to fill in the gap between my next nhs one!

I feel like now I'm at nearly 14 weeks , my anxiety around miscarriage etc is much lower and I'm relaxing much more. So hang in there x

Mine was last week at 12+6. Lots of ladies on the December thread had theirs in week 13.

In South Wales here, I saw midwife at 8 weeks although I wasn’t sure if my dates it could have been two weeks ahead they said they’d get me a letter to book in. I waited two weeks didn’t hear anything. Chased them twice over the following week or so then they finally got back to me on the day my appointment was to say oh yes you’re booked in this afternoon. I couldn’t go so they had to rebook me in a different hospital two weeks later. Luckily we’d had a private scan so I knew dates wise it was still ok for the screening. Had my scan at 12+6 in the end. They booked my 20 week scan in really quickly in all credit, think it was one of those things.

Mine was yesterday and I was week 13. But I realised I was pregnant at 4 weeks and booked in with midwifery straight away which may have helped.

I’m 10+4 but I’ll be 11+2 by the time I have my booking in appointment so no idea when I’ll eventually get my 12 week scan. I’ve ended up booking a private scan + harmony test for 13+1 to help ease my anxiety.

I had mine at 13 weeks but I did get my appointment through very soon after self referring so at least Ihad a date to aim towards. I hope they don't keep you waiting too long!

Mine is next week when I'll be bang on 12 weeks according to the early scan I had at 8 weeks.

My first was 12 weeks 2 days and my second was 13 weeks 1 day (very hard to hide it for that long with my second as I had a little bump already🙈)

I contacted midwife for a booking in appointment at 10 weeks, saw her next day. I got a letter a few days later with a scan date for 12 weeks. Pleasantly surprised, given long waits for so many things.

I am in Wales too.

I got my date through today for my scan which is impressive considering I only had my midwife appointment on Tuesday and I'll be 11+5 when I have my scan

Ooh how lovely mines at 9.20am. I'll be exactly 12 weeks that day! I'm so nervous! Hope baba is okay 🤞🤞 let me know on here how yours goes and I'll do the same 😊❤️

@Mamitobe2023 ahhh so jealous!! I'm in north wales, 10+4 today and haven't had my scan letter yet 😭 really considering a private one...
