Call your midwife, to be on the safe side. She would rather you call and it turn into something or nothing, than you not call and something going wrong.

It could be as simple as the baby sat in the wrong place, or maybe low iron levels, so don't be too worried.

Call your mw. Are you drinking plenty of water? Dehydration made me feel pretty spacy when I was pg.

Oh, and don't rush home and spend 2 hours on the housework! Can your partner help out in the evenings? Or leave stuff till the weekend (or until someone else does it!)?

I know exactly what you mean TLSM.

But, none of that matters quite as much as getting this sorted out, ring your midwife, she will probably ask you to nip in, or she may even be able to come to you. She'll likely only check your BP and take some blood, will only take 10 mins.

Can you cut down to the bare mimimum for the moment? Do you have family or friends who could help out, if only for a week or two till you feel abit better?

just another vote to pop in and see mw. I started looking rough and throwing up again at about 26 weeks- mw sent me for bloods and voila- low iron. Have been taking iron tablets since which have helped hugely. And drinking loads of water helped too. Hope you feel better soon!

I went through a month of fainting spells when pregnant - was to do with low blood pressure. Change in temperature affected me the most - coming in from the cold into a warm house or having a bath. Worth getting it checked out to set your mind at ease. The doctor just laughed at me though and said I was pregnant and just had to get on with it .

Hi - it could also be a high viral load - i.e. you are about to come down with a viral something or other (heavy cold, cough etc) and the viral load is affecting your BP. I had the same at 17 weeks with my ds and the gp advised me - sure enough, 3 days later the nasty bug arrived (just to make you feel even better!!)

Hulababy · 17/01/2008 09:05

Glad you have an appointment. Can you see if the doctor will signed you off work for a week or so, ad see how it goes.
