Night time back ache

Second day in a row and I have insanely bad backache. I’ve been lying on the sofa for the last hour but still can’t sleep because of the pain. Pregnancy pillow in bed isn’t helping at all. Yesterday paracetamol didn’t even take the edge off and the pain was so bad I felt sick and shaky until midday.

Is this normal?! I’m only 31+6 and can’t imagine another 8 weeks of this :(

Its normal to me. I'm 36 weeks and have had it for the last few weeks. I've found a water bottle helps.

I don't feel sick and shaky though, unless I had a lot of braxton hicks. Maybe worth calling the midwife?

I had really bad back pain throughout the later weeks and found it hard to sleep! Whilst I was in the chemist I came across some heat pads called Cura heat.
They have them in bodycare a lot cheaper than the pharmacy but I swore by them in pregnancy! They helped relieve the pain so much and they’re non medicinal so perfectly safe! Might be worth a try
