30+5 breech baby - what can I do to turn her?

Just looking for advice on techniques/things I can do to help my baby turn into the optimal position for birth? I’m 30+5 and had a growth scan today where they said she was breech extended?! Previous growth scans have always been head down (I never felt the big turn!)

I really really really don’t want a c section, I’m really getting into hypnobirthing but I don’t think a breech vaginal birth would be for me either so I’m a bit worried.

I know 30+5 is still plenty of time for her to flip (and flip and flip again!) but if there is anything I can do to help that would be good to know!

thank you x x

Get out walking and get bouncing on your Birthing ball. Also check out spinning babies website. Should help.

Don't think they advise having a breech birth vaginally any more. ( could be wrong)

I ended up with an emergency section and honestly it was brilliant, wasn't what I had planned but the experience during and after was so good I felt so taken care of.

End of the day do what is safest for you and baby.

Thank you, I walk at least 5 miles a day and do some basic yoga and bouncy ball most days so hopefully shel just turn! Really good to hear your emergency c section was a positive experience.

Also my baby was transverse at 36 weeks and did turn by 38 weeks so plenty of time as you said to turn.

Definitely still plenty of time to turn.

I read on babycentre or somewhere about putting frozen peas on top of bump and hot water bottle at bottom and they turn towards the heat. Thought it was a silly idea but after struggling with the spinning babies positions (they're easy but I had an injury and haven't exercised much for a while). But I stood leaning over a table with peas on what I think was his head for ten minutes and he had turned by the next day so perhaps there something in it!

This was 34 weeks. Think he's since turned and turned again! 😂

Both my babies were transverse at 36 weeks and both of them turned head down in time. Now 22 weeks pregnant with my third and gently I suggest you chill out. Babies position at 30+5 is basically irrelevant. She will move plenty between now and when she's ready to come out!
If you find yourself where I was with not head down yet at 36 weeks I sat and bounced on a birthing ball.

I can't be sure if it was why they turned, but they did, so 👍🏻

For now.....forget about it. You've a while to go yet! 🙂
