I couldn’t help buying a couple of cute outfits after 12 weeks, but was wary of getting too much at that stage. Ordered pram and car seat after 20 weeks, and now I’m in the third trimester I’m buying a lot more clothing and other bits.

With my first, I didn't start buying till 30 weeks, second was 20 weeks as I felt rushed the first time, and this time, I only needed maybe 10 things so I'm buying 1 thing a week from 12 weeks.

After my 12 week scan I did a little shop. But now holding off till my next scan because I want to know the gender so I can buy blue/pink.

I bought a little outfit when I first found out (4 weeks).

16+4 now, and not bought anything else yet for him: Will probably start buying a few more little bits 20+ weeks.

Start shopping when you like!

I bought a little toy at 12 weeks and then bought a couple of outfits once I found out the gender. From then I waited until j was 28 weeks to start buying more. My dh ordered all the furniture in the Black Friday sales when j was around 24 weeks.

I’m 34 weeks with my first baby and just bought my pram but I think I left it too late and I was lucky to be able to take it home that day!
I put it all off until about 28 weeks though because I felt a bit overwhelmed. I kept saying after the 20 week scan and then it came and went 😅

whenever you feel comfortable really is the best answer!
you can go and look at prams and cots etc without buying yet and then when you’re ready to buy you’ll have some idea of what you want.

From 30 weeks, only getting a few vests and baby grows as will go out and buy more once baby is born and i know what weight/size. Bought a couple of packs of nappies, but again not loads as will just get them with weekly shop anyway, only big things we need are pushchair and cot which we'll do about 35weeks
