Has anyone noticed their baby's movements have changed since they've hit 30 weeks or so ? They feel bigger. Not as many kicks more wriggling around if you know what I mean.
Last night she had a massive increase in energy for about ten mins, could see what I thought may be her head poking out the side of my bump on the underside. Not sure if she's changed position? She's been head down for weeks and weeks

Smarsh32 · 16/08/2022 12:13

@ImReadyForThis I didn't realise they sold wristbands, that is such a good idea! Definitely, I may have to look in to one of those myself!

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits yes definitely, her movements have become much less jabby and hitty and more slow and long like squirming like she is dragging along the inside of my stomach when she moves if you get me. Its fascinating I love it!! And her little feet under my ribs.. its so painful at times honestly. She's had her down for weeks now too, I don't think she has dropped yet but I am only 32+4 today.. I will be glad when she drops a bit hopefully her feet will be by my ribs less!! Lol.

@ChloeLord - unfortunately I am nowhere near those areas.. I am all the way down in Devon so I cannot be of help I am really sorry.
I hope you manage to find someone who can help! Xx

CoolBananas21 · 16/08/2022 20:51

I'm due on 23rd! Feel quite lonely in the whole process at the moment.

LondonladyTTC · 16/08/2022 21:24

@CoolBananas21 sorry to hear that you are feeling lonely. Pregnancy is such an odd time as most people in day to day life aren't going through the same things at the same time. I'm due on the 21st so our dates are very close together! Have you been feeing ok physically?

Pandabuggle · 16/08/2022 22:11

@Smarsh32 ahh you're fairly close to me then, I'm Bristol! Where abouts in Devon? I loved down in Kingsbridge for a couple years back in 2007/8. Tis good being back this side of the country again

Smarsh32 · 17/08/2022 05:52

@Pandabuggle - I am in Plymouth so not too far from you! I think I have only been to Kingsbridge once maybe it was a nice little place!xx

Pandabuggle · 17/08/2022 06:31

@Smarsh32 not much to see or do there, unlike Plymouth. I was over in Plymouth with the restaurant attached to Plymouth gin caught fire, that was an interesting day!

Not enjoying the later stage of this pregnancy at all. Don't know if it's where I've been put on Metformin but I just don't feel right. Meds supposed to help control things better but making it worse as I'm waking up feeling unwell, so fasting reading is higher, I've nearly been sick twice overnight. Baby is low in pelvis and I can't poop, just feel grouchy. But at least the heat is done with currently

Pregnantpolly · 17/08/2022 11:22

@CoolBananas21 is there any support for you? I'm due 22nd October so very similar time line. There's lots of support on here so do reach out!

DangerouslyBored · 17/08/2022 12:13

Can I just say to those worried about counting kicks that my midwife said not to worry about doing this as it’s anxiety inducing. She said as long as you’re feeling regular patterns of movement, then that is great. The counting kicks recommendation will probably be scrapped as it encourages women to go to A&E to get get checked unnecessarily. Regular movement and kicks is what you should be mindful of.

Pandabuggle · 19/08/2022 12:05

I think they just say to keep an eye on the movement pattern now rather than kick counting.

Smarsh32 · 28/08/2022 18:07

Anyone else suffering with little feet in ribs pain?! 34+2 today... excited now!!

ImReadyForThis · 29/08/2022 10:04

@Smarsh32 not so much feet in ribs but I'm quite tall so her feet probably don't reach quite that far? But sometimes it feels like she's doing gymnastics inside me with lumps and bumps poking out all over the place, it's very weird and wonderful!

Smarsh32 · 29/08/2022 19:36

@ImReadyForThis oh me too, it's the most amazing feeling. Although it's slightly uncomfortable, I will miss it so much when she is out I think! I love seeing her squirming in there! Hope you are feeling all OK though! Xx

Smarsh32 · 01/09/2022 08:03

So I received my date for my c-section yesterday (elective).. 4th October! Its only 33 days away how scary and exciting!!

BlueBunny23 · 04/09/2022 21:42

I did wonder if anyone else is 37 weeks and feeling this way
very tried
achY SPD,
sharp pains in vaginal area
contractions that go regular then just stop
a little loss of the mucus plug
can feel head engaged with hiccups in pubic area and in bum!

Smarsh32 · 17/09/2022 19:11

@BlueBunny23 that sounds like baby will be on way shortly! Fingers crossed everything goes ok!
I am 37+1 today. Very sore ribs I feel ready for her to be out soon! My planned c section is booked for 4th October. I wonder if she will stay in until then! I will be 39+4. Hope everyone is good!
It still doesn't feel real, and it's so close to the end! ❀️

Smarsh32 · 17/09/2022 19:12

Oh I didn't realise I had already written that before 😫 baby brain!

Smarsh32 · 21/09/2022 04:03

Well,, she is here now. My waters broke at midnight when I was 37+4 and I had a c section. She was born at 6.56am yesterday weighing 7 pound 6 ❀️ I couldn't be happier or more proud. Good luck everyone ❀️

ImReadyForThis · 21/09/2022 04:18

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 21/09/2022 08:21

How is everyone else getting on?
I'm 37+2 and have my c section booked in for two weeks today.
It's actually on my sons birthday!!

I live in the toilet at this point as baby likes headbutting my bladder

Pinktruffle · 21/09/2022 10:51

Congratulations @Smarsh32, hope you and baby are doing well.

I'm 36 + 2, my first arrived at 37+6. I'm praying that this one holds on a bit longer. I'm booked for ELCS on 10/10, and my mum is coming to stay from 1/10 so we have someone to watch DS1 whilst I'm in hospital. If baby come before that I will be giving birth alone which I really don't want. Plus my DS1 was only 6lb6oz and I'm hoping no.2 will be a bit heavier so whilst I have had enough of being pregnant, I want the baby to hold on for a while yet
