Ectopic pregnancy

Hi

I had a iui done 6 weeks ago and got a negative results and my period bang on 2weeks after

I had a scan Friday and on the Saturday had bleeding abit more then spotting, I'm still bleeding lightly today and I done a pregancy test and got a positive result instantly

I'm so confused and scared if anyone could help please

You had a scan 2 days ago? What did they see on the scan? Who scanned you, the IUI clinic?

That's a strong positive test, it can't be from your IUI if you tested negative after, surely. New pregnancy?

Yeah the fertility clinic done me a internal scan to plan my next iui

They didn't pick up anything said I had a dominant follicle and my lining looked good and to come back Monday I have emailed them but they are not good at getting back me,

Iv read about late implantation and eptomic pregnancy which could be, but so confused as i had my period

And no chance of a new pregancy xxxxx

I don't think anyone on here can give you an answer - if by Monday you mean tomorrow then that's good that they will be seeing you again. Hopefully they will rescan, look in the tubes, maybe check HCG and then give you a clearer picture 🙂

I had this recently and was ectopic.

Don’t mean to scare you but you need to go to your nearest EPU or A&E today.

Don’t worry even if you’ve not had any pain or symptoms. I’ve had two ectopics and my symptoms with the last were literally “I had a period at what would’ve been four weeks”.

I'm not sure, I mean you were scanned at the clinic two days ago (where an ectopic presumably would have been detected) and you're being scanned again tomorrow. I'm not sure 111 or a&e could scan you any faster seeing as it's Sunday. I'd be inclined to wait until your appt tomorrow at the IUI clinic and give them the full story and get an explanation.

I had what seemed like a normal period 2 weeks after ivf. 2 weeks after that, DH had sex for first time since ivf transfer and began bleeding about an hour afterwards. After a couple of days of this, I contacted IVF unit and insisted they see me, where they confirmed ectopic pregnancy.
Please get someone to assess you as soon as possible

I rang 111 and they told me to go a&e now so here I am waiting, guess better safe then sorry

I'm so confused I went A&E yesterday and they confirm pregnancy

But today I went to have a scan at a firtity clinic and they said the way my uterus lining is and follicle growth are I'm not or was ever prganaunt,

I'm so confused, sad and completely emotionally drained

Has anyone had anything similar

How did A&E confirm your pregnancy?

A wee or blood test would just show you were pregnant but not where.

Did A&E not scan you?

What did your fertility clinic say when you told them you suspected ectopic?

Have you been quite clear with them and used the word ectopic? It can be hard to see on a scan if they aren’t looking specially. My first ectopic was missed on about four scans.

They done a urine test come back I was pregnant she also done 2 fingers up me and internal scan which didn't pick up anything an booked me in for a scan in 10days time

I made it very clear about eptomic pregancy but she said she happy to rule it out

Blood test today at firtity clinic so will get them back tomorrow but they said I'm not pregnant and never was

Okay, so there’s no question that one of them is wrong.

Why did the fertility clinic not accept your urine tests?

My womb lining was too thin for my gestation, because I had a period, because it was ectopic.

Have you had a blood test yet? You need HCG tests 48 hours apart. That can often reflect an
ectopic if the levels aren’t doubling.

What did the hospital scan show? Nothing? How did she rule out ectopic? Were you given any written notes from either place?

Could you crop your details off and post a photo?

The hospital didn't give Mr no paper work about from a date for my scan on the 29th

They basically said I was pregnant and to come back in days for a scan, they done a internal scan altho it was very quick and pushed over my
Stomach and sides she spoke to someone come back to us an just said she happy to rule it out

The clinic today bas said it near I'm possible I was pregnant bcos of my tracking scans and done another internal scan and show me how there is no sac and My folicals are all good and my uterus lining and they gave me a blood which she said wil come back negative but just in case they will do it, I will find out tomorrow morning

Hopefully know more tomorrow but if it comes back not pregnant I don't know what to think at all my mental health has really took a battering the last few days I can't even talk just been laying in in bedroom since my appointment at 2

if you’re expecting the fertility clinic bloods back today, and the hospital did a wee test and confirmed pregnancy, then you should get some answers.

I'm hoping they ring me in the next hour for blood work

Had my blood test results for a postive pregnancy they want the HCG at a 100 my is 175

They are now thinking eptomic pregancy but told me to have my scan on the 29th June

I don't know what to think or even feel the clinic that have took my much of money has just said its a strange one

29th June is over a week away.
You don't sit on a possible ectopic pregnancy for a week

I don’t think a scan will show anything below a certain HCG.

But you need proper medical care and your clinic aren’t giving it.

When you say no chance of a new pregnancy, do you mean no chance as in you’re a solo woman or as in you used condoms?

Are they doing another HCG test in 48 hours to check the numbers?

This is exactly why I’m alive today and not dead last week. NHS EPU “couldn’t fit me in” for a scan until a full week after I told them I suspected ectopic and had a history of rupture.

Had to take myself off for a private early “reassurance” scan reassured me I’d die within a week without surgery from another hospital

Hospitals do seem really lax on ectopic pregnancy. I had a suspected ectopic (extreme cramps, bleeding, positive pregnancy tests) and they scheduled my scan at the EPU exactly a week after symptoms started. Luckily it wasnt ectopic and there were a variety of symptoms coming together that made it seem that way but looking back now I've no idea why they left it 7 days
