Hi all,

I'm 7+4 and the past 2 days I've had awful back ache on my left hand side feeling like it goes under the ribs.

I've been using a hot water bottle, having baths and taking paracetamol, but is there anything else? The pain just won't go and I've got a very active 4 year old with me!

Thanks!

Hi! I’m 30 weeks and have had back pain on and off all the way through, the only thing that has really helped is some specific yoga exercises (YouTube has loads of pregnancy and stage specific videos) and making sure I do a daily walk of at least 30 mins!

Just wanted to check that you don’t think it might be a UTI/kidney infection though? Do you feel well otherwise? It might be worth doing a pee sample at the docs just to check with being pregnant we’re unfortunately much more susceptible to them!

Feel better soon x

Under the ribs hmmmmm I’d get that checked sounds like a kidney infection that is exactly where mine hurt and I needed very strong pain killers off the dr and antibiotics! I did not feel like I’d had a urine infection at all just a pain in my back that came on over a few hours I ended up at minor injuries please go there and get seen today

Thank you both, I'll pop in to my doctors after work tomorrow and ask to do a sample. I did consider uti but with having no other symptoms I dismissed it.

The pain starts under my ribs and goes up my spine to my shoulder blades so I wasn't sure if that was too large an area
