Me too!! I am 7 weeks today. First pregnancy and I’m so anxious. We fell pregnant really quickly after only 3 months trying- despite my reduced follicle count. I had early scan and I saw the heartbeat 💗 I am how ever freaking out after eating a supermarket sandwich with halloumi in it……

@Ballyboo1986 omg 23 weeks 😩 that's awful. How did you get through it

Lots of cariban (so expensive in Ireland 😭) and sleep! I mostly ate rich tea biscuits, noodles, and bread. Lost just over a stone up to then. 'luckily' covid hit and I was moved to WFH. I don't know what I would have done. This time I have a nearly 2 year old and my job is more high stress, but at least WFH full time! I am dreading it... hopefully won't hit as hard.

Had a private scan yesterday! I had one at 6 weeks at epu due to fainting but Yesterday I had another and all was growing okay at 8 weeks! Just to wait 4 weeks for my 12 week scan now, which seems forever away!!

Peonies94 · 28/06/2022 06:40

@blibbyblobb yesh I had terrible cramps around 5-6 weeks, they have eased now and I’ve got sickness instead but they were really painful!

Thanks so much @RadicalSoul ! I think I can probably wait until the 11-12 week scan since I'm healthy and haven't had any miscarriages (that I'm aware of).

I'm turning 35 this year and am feeling VERY nervous about the increased risks associated with my age. Is anyone else in this boat, or have experience navigating a "geriatric" (ughEnvy) pregnancy?

maggiebun · 28/06/2022 12:13

YES @lindenc I'm 37 and this is my first. I had an early scan on Saturday and baby was measuring 8 weeks, i thought only 7+3. It definitely reassured me. My NHS scan isn't until 13 weeks, so i couldn't wait that long. I have my first midwife appt this afternoon too, very nervous to be called a geriatric as i still feel about 18 in my head... at least you won't get called geriatric until you turn 35!!😂
Iv had nausea, extremely sore boobs from week 3 and still got them, extreme fatigue, bad belly, mood swings and just generally feel like crap! Was going the gym every morning before work but haven't been for over a week now

maggiebun · 28/06/2022 12:17

Oh and bad cramps for about 3 weeks which have finally subsided now!

S0220 · 28/06/2022 17:35

Oh gosh catching up with so many messages!

@maggiebun glad your early scan went well! How did your midwife appt go today?

I am 7+2 today and have my first midwife appt tomorrow afternoon!

Beautyangel1 · 28/06/2022 17:57

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help I want to know how a 28 and a 32 day cycle can affect the stages in pregnancy.

I have a 32 day cycle and believe I am 6+1 days. I had an early scan yesterday and a yolk sac and gestational sac was present. The nurse said it's very normal as my cycle length is slightly longer. They will rescan me again next week.

Thanks

maggiebun · 28/06/2022 18:04

@S0220 ok I think. Just about 100 questions asked about family history, my health, did bloods etc. Told me because I’m geriatric, overweight (not by much) and my father has diabetes, that I’ll get more scans to see that the baby is growing at the correct pace

MissBlue93 · 28/06/2022 18:42

Hi can I join? I got my positive on the 15th and am due 28th feb. It'll be my third but first with my current partner. We've booked a viability scan at 7 weeks 2 days as he really wants to see something before the 12 week. Has anyone else had one of these?

MissBlue93 · 28/06/2022 18:44

Pinkcloud5 · 23/06/2022 20:31

Hi all,

So glad I found this thread! Hope you don’t mind me joining, I’m currently 4 weeks + 3 (due Feb 28) first time baby, and it first time trying so want expecting it to happen so soon (have PCOS and really doctor me told me I’d likely need clomid to conceive!) feeling very overwhelmed, but comforting to see so many of us are feeling the same. Think I’m going to book an early scan at 6-7 weeks to ease some anxiety.

@Dani1996 I’ve also got sore boobs, fatigue and a bit of nausea too.

Ive noticed the EMU of my pregnancy so waiting to get my appointment date for 8 weeks - how long did this take to come through?! Feels like so far away. The days are going so slowly!

Hoping we all get through the first trimester ok! If anyone has any advice I’m all ears :)

Due date buddies ☺️

lindenc · 28/06/2022 18:57

Thanks @maggiebun !
Are they able to do any tests/screenings at a 7 week scan, or is it just to see if things are looking generally on track?

Dani1996 · 29/06/2022 10:49

It’s so great to hear from so many people at a similar stage!
Is anyone else experiencing some lightheadedness or dizziness? Mine has felt constant for the past few days- not sure if it’s low blood pressure….feel woozy, almost like I’ve had a few drinks!

MummaDee1 · 29/06/2022 11:45

@Dani1996 I've had a little of that but I think it's mostly due to not eating very much. Have you been eating okay?

Dani1996 · 29/06/2022 11:53

@MummaDee1 been eating regularly (possibly a little too regularly 😂) and drinking plenty of water so I’m not sure why it’s happening!

MummaDee1 · 29/06/2022 12:08

@Dani1996 jealous 😂😂 I've not had a proper dinner in two weeks! 😩 how far along are you?

Dani1996 · 29/06/2022 12:35

@MummaDee1 oh no! Can’t stomach it at the min? I’ll be 7 weeks tomorrow, how about you? I’m just hoping the next few weeks goes as quick as possible to the 12 week scan 😂

lindenc · 29/06/2022 16:32

@Dani1996 yes to dizziness! I was tidying up yesterday and literally had to lay down on the floor for 15 mins to keep from falling over.

MummaDee1 · 29/06/2022 18:32

@Dani1996 I'm almost 8 weeks now, can't stomach much at the moment feeling nauseous all day. GP prescribed some medication so I've not been since yesterday which I'm thrilled about! Yes roll on 12 week scan ☺️

RadicalSoul · 14/07/2022 14:15

I should be 8 weeks and a bit now. Did a scan last week and it all looked good including heart beat but I really don’t feel safe about it at all, likely just because of my previous mc experience :-/

Symptoms are also bit strange. Have random shooting pains in my abdomen that go away really quickly. Mostly when I get up from bed or turn in a certain way. Didn’t have two the last two times but I’m further along now. I’m queasy but not quite nauseous which I suppose is pretty good. Generally veeeery thirsty all the time and when I’m not concentrating (I.e. reading a book or working) I could literally sleep all day I feel so tired!

how is everyone else doing?
