I came down with something about 5 days ago. My question is whether or not it sounds like the common cold to you guys, or something more serious like the flu.

It started off with feeling run down, and my throat was very mildly irritated but that was it. That night when trying to sleep, I had some postnatal drip and I woke up the next morning with a bit of a nose bleed. I then developed catarrh on my chest, I had a tickly throat and cough. The day after I felt nauseous for some reason (presumably to do with mucus running down my throat) and I threw up.

Then the sinus symptoms finally began, I was bunged up and congested.

It’s now day 5 and when I cough my entire rib cage and chest hurts, I’ve lost my appetite too but I’m feeling much better today than yesterday and I finally managed to get some sleep.

I did go to the doctors about this and she said it sounds like a viral infection. But I’ve had plenty of colds before in the past and they progress like so: sore throat > blocked nose > cough

But this was different and much more miserable than usual. If I knew it was a cold I’d just forget about it but I know the flu can be very dangerous when pregnant

Presume you’ve taken a Covid treat?

Not flu, you wouldn’t be writing here if it was but plenty of horrid colds doing the rounds

hope you feel better son

Yeah I’ve taken two covid tests. Definitely not that.

i just think the order in which the symptoms appeared was strange for a cold

thank you!
