Terrible skin

Hi all, coming up to 11 weeks now and my skin has got awful. Worse than when I was a teenager!!! Is this a usual pg thing??? What can I use to help stop all the spots and blemishes. I seem to have purple colour patches appearing too???

Yes unfortunately terrible skin is normal for some (others get the glow!) I had awful acne with both my pregnancies but it started to improve from about 20 weeks

I have also noticed horrible acne! I never had it with my previous full term pregnancy

I had it bad with my first who was a girl but I didn't with my second who was a boy so I'm wondering if it means I'm having a girl this time

Oo that's interesting.. My first one was a boy and i had lovely skin...now its worse than a teenagers

My skin was worse than as a teen (and it was grim then). I just gritted my teeth as I escaped nausea and pretty much all other pregnancy symptoms. Two DSs here…I did wonder if their testosterone was partly responsible, but have no evidence for that.

Mine was terrible on my back when pregnant with DS1, but not for DS2... zineryt lotion from the dr helped me

Yes I had a lotion from the docs too I think it was zineryt. Mine was a roll on

I’m 26 weeks and the only pregnancy glow I had was the sore red pimples on my face. It went away around 24 weeks, but I would say my skin is back to normal now rather than nicer than pre pregnancy

Interesting! I have two boy and my skin was AMAZING during their pregnancies. I'm now pregnant with my third and my skin is awful. It's dull, spotty and lifeless!

Its probably coincidental but it's a good theory 😆
