Warning images - light pink spotting

Hi,

I am currently freaking out.

I am 13 weeks + 7 days and am getting light pink spotting when I wipe.

I went for my dating scan on Monday and all was fine.

I've not had sex recently or done any vaginal exam so it's not because of that.

Has anyone experienced this before and actually turned out fine?

I have messaged my midwife - just waiting to hear back.

I've also booked a private pregnancy scan but it's not till Sunday. But I feel like I can't move right now.

I feel sick with worry.

Not experiencing any pain.

Help! At work now and trying not to cry. I had an MC last year in January at 5 weeks.

Hi OP. Good that you've booked a scan, I hope it's good news. Keep an eye on appointments in case one comes up tomorrow and you can reschedule. I had similar spotting at 12weeks. It was fine, likely explanation was simply the cervix being irritated and a blood vessel popping (I hadn't had sex lately either). Hopefully yours is nothing either, but obviously when you've had an mc before, you panic (I had also had one). Try to breathe and stay as calm as possible x

Hi, I am so sorry that you experienced this. How did everything turn out?

I am currently 10+1 and have woken up to bleeding that looks exactly like yours. I called my EPU, but she said there’s not much they can do as no one can stop bleeding and there’s no appointments - they will call me back if an appointment comes up.

I had a dating scan last week, thought I was 12 weeks, but turned out to be 9+4 - heartbeat was seen and baby was moving.

This is my first pregnancy and I’m so scared.

I'm so sorry you are going through this - sending you some virtual hugs! I know it's easy to say but please try not to worry. I hope you'll be able to get an appointment soon for peace of mind.

I'm not sure if I should let you know but if I were in your shoes I'd want to know but about 3 weeks ish later, I bled again and even more! But again it all turned out fine! Something to do with low lying placenta...
