Just wondering when everyone started to gain weight during pregnancy and how much weight you put on in each trimester? Does it all go away after you give birth?

I've just found out I'm pregnant (first baby) and I've tried so hard to get to my goal weight and now terrified of putting it all back on again 😭

I also lost weight before getting pregnant and now my face is all fat again (along with the rest of me!)

Ive just started third trimester - put on about 5-6lbs first trimester and about a stone in second trimester. I reckon I’m going to put on another stone at least.

Depressing but it’s hard to not overeat with everything going on.

Just remember we lost the weight before and will do again afterwards!

When did you first start to put on the weight? - I've already put on about a kg I'm only 4 weeks not sure if i should blame it on pregnancy so early on or if I've just been overeating 😭

I think I had started to put on weight about the same time, but just a couple of pounds at that point.

Bear in mind you are likely getting more bloated, starting to build up the necessary tissue etc.

Just try not to eat too much crap (like I did) and try to stay active (but don’t push it too hard) and you’ll be fine.

I stopped exercising at 11 weeks as had a heavy bleed during a run. That’s what really caused issues for my health and weight, but I’d rather put on a bit more weight than go through that anxiety again, or feel like I’m risking the baby.

Not to say that exercise is bad for the baby - it should be safe to continue at the level you were previously, at least for now. I just had a bad experience with it.
