So obviously I want to give my baby the best start in life like all new Mums Buuuuuut in my first trimester and I'm really struggling with morning sickness and eating in general at the minute - I'm totally off food and when I can manage to eat its pretty much toast or plain crisps or something that's not really nutritional.

Other Mums suffering with morning sickness - how are you coping? are you managing to eat healthy??? and if so what are you eating?

Just eat whatever you can keep down. And take your vitamins!
Could also try fruit/veggie juices?

Honestly wouldn't worry about it, the baby will take what it needs from you.

I had HG so my advice would be eat whatever you want and just try to get in lots of fruit and veg. I ate a lot of cheese eggs fruit and veg and near the end, a lot of chocolate. Meat and fish were yuk and I went completely off tea

I don't think I ate a single healthy meal through my whole pregnancy.

First trimester - sick as a dog; second - peak lockdown, husband working away, simply couldn't be bothered; third - heartburn, heatwave

She wasn't born with scurvy and appears unharmed by my salt and vinegar crisp and cereal diet.

I lived on full fat/ sugar coke and either prawn cocktail or ketchup flavour crisps until I was about 10 weeks and the sickness eased. Then I still couldn't eat cooked vegetables but could eat basically a healthy diet.

I can only stomach white carbs at the moment. As long as we're taking multivitamins I reckon it's fine.

I didn't worry about eating healthily, I just ate whatever I could face, tried to drink plenty of water and took a prenatal vitamin.

Your priority is to eat something. If it's crisps and toast then so be it, just eat whatever you can stomach.

I couldn't eat anything unless it was beige in the first tri due to nausea. So bland carbs it was.

I made up for it later with loads of fruit and veg.

Eat whatever will settle your stomach so you can keep your strength up and plenty of water and a multivitamin. I went right off anything healthy until my second trimester so hopefully you can eat more varied things when you get to that stage. I lived on ready salted crisps and full fat coke for the first 12 weeks!

I drank a green juice every morning in my second pregnancy because it was the easiest way to get them in! Food-wise I couldn't stand anything apart from crumpets and banana bread.
