19 weeks pregnant - heard something drip into the toilet??

Wth. I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant and I just went to pee and after I did, I heard something drip or plop into the toilet. I definitely don’t think it was urine because it was a good 10-15 seconds later? I don’t have cramps or anything, everything feels normal and when I looked into the toilet there was nothing? Any ideas? Do I need to contact my doctor or midwife even though I feel absolutely fine?

of course speak GP or midwife, you need reassurance. Could have been a poo. Obviously it’s extremely unlikely to be what your thinking but I’d call them and see if they could scan as a precaution

dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 21:23

It wasn’t poo, and I don’t even think it was the mucus plug tbh. I have no idea it was so weird but I’m not really worried because it happened last week too. Super weird!

Definitely call for reassurance. I did several times, each one was a false alarm, they always said they were glad I called. Call whichever number you will get to speak with a clinician quickest on - so you don't have so long spent worrying. Im sure the hospital midwife number is 24 hours so you could even ring them this evening .
You'll be alright 😘

I'd call triage

dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 21:28

Thank you so much guys

Could it have been a (big) bit of discharge?

ZooMount · 14/06/2022 21:30

I wouldn't worry personally but I seem to be in the minority!

Moonshine160 · 14/06/2022 21:30

Could it have been some clear discharge or something? If there was nothing in the toilet and everything otherwise seems fine then I’m not sure what triage would do.

dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 21:30

Who exactly am I meant to call? Triage? Because my midwife isn’t working today and she doesn’t answer her phone on the days she’s not working

OP posts:
dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 21:31

I’m thinking clear discharge too because I’ve been having a bit of that recently (not too much but a fair bit). I’m not worried maybe I should be but I’m not? Because this happened last week too

OP posts:
Whitesapphire · 14/06/2022 21:32

It’s probably just your toilet, not sure what triage are going to do at 19 weeks.

dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 21:33

I’ve messaged my midwife about it, I’m not really worried tbh so I won’t call anyone because I have a feeling that it’s either clear discharge or my toilet messing up. 😂
I shouldn’t even be laughing right now but I can’t help it. Thank you guys

It's going to be discharge. If it was anything sinister it wouldn't just drop out without you being in pain/having blood etc

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 14/06/2022 21:35

Was there anything on the tissue when you wiped ?

Moonshine160 · 14/06/2022 21:36

I really wouldn’t worry to be honest. With discharge I think sometimes a small amount can sound like a plop in the toilet.

dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 21:37

There was nothing on the tissue when I wiped, and I have no cramps or anything. Most likely discharge

Haudyourwheesht · 14/06/2022 21:41

There's quite a lot of mucus doing the rounds when you're pregnant so it's probably just that. Envy

dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 21:51

Yes, it’s probably mucus or normal discharge

OP posts:
dreamerkr · 14/06/2022 23:20

It happened again when I went to pee so I think it’s most likely normal discharge??

Have you thought that there is a 'drip' leak from the cistern into the bowl? And maybe that's what you heard?

dreamerkr · 15/06/2022 09:24

@Alb0 its definitely water dripping into the toilet. After I peed this morning I sat with a tissue covering myself down there 😂 and there was still the dripping sound and it was definitely water dripping into the toilet bowl. Wow, I’m so stupid. 😂😂
Sorry guys!

Lol it's happened to me before, I thought I was still peeing and I wasn't, it was a slow drip and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. It's good that that's all it was though for you. :)

madeinthe80z · 15/06/2022 15:20

Firstly, I'm so glad all is okay with you🥰🥰 but secondly....LOL 😂
