Slight bleeding and measuring a week behind

Anyone with similar stories but gone on to have a successful pregnancy

I should be 6 weeks and 4 days today.
On Sunday I had small amount of pink discharge, this then went to some brown blood and red blood when wiping for the last 2 days.
I went for a scan today and the doctor said everything looked fine and there was a heartbeat but that I was actually. Measuring 5/6 weeks?

I am fearful that this is turning into a miscarriage, I was prepared for that initially as I am 41, but now I've seen that heartbeat I'm not prepared for it

Did you get an nhs scan or private? Ask to be seen in a weeks time to check if growth is on track. Are you calculating your dates by last date of period or do you know when you ovulated? It's positive that a heartbeat was detected and that the bleeding hasn't become heavy. Can you request progesterone? Are you taking low dose aspirin? I hope all turns out well.
I had some spotting and it all turned out alright.

Hi, yes from date of last period, it was an NHS scan and they said to go back in 2 weeks. She mentioned about progesterone but then said see how the next scan goes, so I was thinking about calling the gp to see if the can arrange that
