Currently 9+5 and having pink bleeding. It started off brown two days ago but it’s pink today and getting heavier :( I’m worried sick

I had a private scan yesterday which showed a healthy baby measuring where it should be but I’m still stressed. I do have cramping too

is this the start of a miscarriage? Has anybody else had this?

I had this and was told any spotting before 12 weeks is normal. That looks very clear and normal to me but if unsure always get checked.

JulyDreams · 14/06/2022 10:45

Also I'm now 35 weeks so everything was ok. Good luck. Ring your midwife and just check. The cramping I think could also be normal and could be just changed to your uterus.

I had this with my 3rd child who is now a healthy 6 year old. I think it's pretty normal but just keep an eye on it and seek advice if it gets worse.

Hi @rebeccadaniels really sorry to hear you’re going through this - it such a horrid shock seeing it. I have been pg 5 times, 1 healthy DS and 3 MCs and have had spotting/bleeding everytime - I am currently having this exact same looking spotting at 7+5 and have an early scan at EPU to see what’s going on but not feeling hopeful to be honest.

Spotting is/can be very normal in pregnancy but should always be checked out. Can you call your local EPU and ask to be checked out? Mine have always been very accommodating and lovely. Best of luck 💐

rebeccadaniels · 14/06/2022 20:28

@Tisfortired thank you for your kind words! I had a scan yesterday and all was well and thankfully the bleeding has eased and isn’t getting heavier at the moment. The worry just never ends though because for me, it keeps stopping and starting

please let me know how you get on tomorrow and I wish you all the very best for your scan 💐

I had this from weeks 7-19 on and off with no cause found. It looked very much like the discharge on your photo. I’m now 25 weeks and all is well.

I know it’s easier said than done but without any heavier red bleeding and/or cramps then please try not to worry, especially after a positive scan yesterday.

Babyghirl · 14/06/2022 22:01

@rebeccadaniels
Have you had sex before it started.

rebeccadaniels · 14/06/2022 22:23

@Babyghirl i had sex the day before it started so I’m thinking it could be an irritated cervix 🤔

rebeccadaniels · 14/06/2022 22:24

@Moonshine160 i do have some cramping and back ache which has only started since the pink discharge 😕

After i had sex first 12 weeks I would get this to a point we had to stop to make me feel better and stop the worrying. It could be an irritated cervix as it is more sensitive at the moment.

Pink discharge when wiping, I'm 10 weeks and 3 days. Is this normal? Phoned midwife and they said nothing to do apart from wait and see if it gets worse

Was your private scan an internal one? It might just be some slight bleeding from the probe bothering things up there?

I think it can be normal. My cousin had this too. Hope everything is okay x

I had this too at about 10 weeks. Had a scan and all was well. That baby is about to turn 9 and is currently dancing around my living room Smile

I think it's more common than you think! I think mine might have had something to do with thrush as I then got classic thrush symptoms for a couple of weeks! That also passed and the rest of pregnancy was fine

Thank you, currently trying to stay calm and keep an eye on it. I have had an early scan 2 weeks ago and all seemed well, 12 week is on the 19th of this month. Fingers crossed it's okay
