35 + 3 Weeks Pregnant:
Need advice as I feel like I’m getting nowhere and currently waiting for a midwife to call.
I’ve had reduced movements for the past week, been in for daily monitoring and have stayed overnight in hospital during the previous week. My daily monitoring is still continuing and I am also having weekly scans. Today at my scan she told me my fluids around baby are on the greater side. 9.4cm and mentioned something about liking them being between 4-10. Could this be the reason I am having reduced movements? The midwife who scanned me told me to mention I had been loosing my mucus plug and having extreme heartburn and breathlessness. I just need to know has this happened to anyone? Is there something I should be worried about? I’ve been given no answers and I’m so anxious

Hi @Mummytobe22LO no personal experience but it's called polyhydramnios, here's the NHS info:

I am no medical professional, just a mum of 2!!

From my understanding, the main worry would be if your fluids were on the low side as this is dangerous for your baby.

I imagine it could effect the feeling of movements as you have more fluid around the baby but I would 100% ask for scan/more monitoring to put your mind at rest.

Always follow your instincts and ask the questions and push for more information/tests. You would hate to have any regrets but not asking questions xx

@Mummytobe22LO what did the midwife who called you say?

The fluids are 9.4 and 10 is the more they would allow before interfering. I went in for a cervical check and they have sent off my swab but did say cervix is closed. Other than that was pretty useless
