Faint line on preg test - 4 days before due on

Hi everyone!

Please help!

Done these two tests with faint lines appearing. My last period was 20/05/2022 and my next period is due in 4 days. We had s*x during my deemed ovulation period. I don't track but my periods are every 28/29 days so just guessing when ovulation would've been.

These were faint lines on the tests but I've taken the tests apart to put them against white paper and therefore the horizontal control line isn't there. Can anyone see a line, what do you think?! Would it be too early to tell?

I've been feeling super tired, hungry and headachey.

Thanks in advance!!! Xxx

I tested 4 days before my period was due and it was definitely positive. Test again in the morning tomorrow and hopefully that line will be stronger good luck

Blixem · 13/06/2022 11:09

Looks positive to me. I tested 6 days before my period and got a really faint line too. DD is now 2.5!

alis20 · 13/06/2022 11:09

What test brand did you use? Do you see the lines also? X

Congrats!! What test brand did you use? These are Sainsbury's and I've read so many mixed reviews! X

Oooooh Sainsbury's tests get really bad reviews. Get a FRER!

student26 · 13/06/2022 11:14

I tested four days before I was due. My two year old is sleeping next to me now. ❤️

alis20 · 13/06/2022 11:15

Aw wow @student26 what brand did you use? Do you think these look like evaporation lines? X

A line is a line. I'd personally get one of those more expensive ones that tell you how pregnant you are.

They don't look like evap lines. Evap lines aren't that common really, and you're very unlikely to have gotten them on both tests. Congrats !

student26 · 13/06/2022 11:25

@alis20 I would say these are positive!

student26 · 13/06/2022 11:25

Also @alis20 I just used cheap tests - three for £1 from Superdrug I think.

alis20 · 13/06/2022 11:40

Thanks for replying! I did read this but also I'm driving myself crazy and can't tell if it is grey or blue lol! Does anyone else think it looks blue? They also say if it's the same thickness as the control its more likely a faint positive! @Kizzy192

New to all of this and there's so much info out there! Xx

@student26 thanks for replying!! Do they look blue to you?

One of these was done yesterday afternoon and one this morning. Was not my FMU though.

These do look positive but I would get a pink dye test like a first response test to be sure.

student26 · 13/06/2022 12:00

@alis20 they definitely look like positives to me ❤️

mylion · 13/06/2022 13:15

@alis20 are these from inside a CB digital test OP? If so then they always have two lines inside them, regardless of if pregnant or not, just to warn you (seen lots of threads on it in the past), but if just from a standard test I'd say it looks positive🤞🏼

alis20 · 13/06/2022 13:44

@mylion they are from a standard sainsburys test so no digital involved. What do you think?! So many mixed info online about evap lines etc also. Read a long post from a clinician saying that evap lines aren't a thing! Very confusing

@alis20 in that case id say it looks like a faint BFP! Im not familiar with those tests though so not sure what they're like for evaps etc, but with two in a row it's unlikely. I always tested early & whenever I got a line that clear, I was most definitely pregnant!🙌🏼
