Hi everyone, I've had a temperature on/off since last night. Paracetamol is bringing it down, the highest reading was 38.3. I've got an appointment later this afternoon but I'm so worried!! Has anyone experienced this and all been ok? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If paracetamol is bringing it down (and the highest temp wasn't that high) then it's fine. 🙂

Did you mean you have an appt anyway this afternoon (midwife or whatnot) or did you make a GP appt just because of a raised temp? 🤔😕

@Flederjo Thank you so much, I was told to call 111 who want me to be seen as they need to find the source of what's causing the temperature

Obvious question but have you done a Covid test ?

MrsMCtobe · 12/06/2022 08:45

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits I don't have a test here but will be doing one as soon as the pharmacy opens. I don't have any other symptoms though

@MrsMCtobe it seems abit strange a doctor/midwife etc would be willing to see you without ruling out Covid first ?
Paracetamol to keep temp down, you can have 8 tablets in 24 hours.

MrsMCtobe · 12/06/2022 09:04

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits thank you, they did ask me to test before my appointment this afternoon to rule it out.

@MrsMCtobe ahh makes more sense now then ! Yeah first thing is rule that out. But as a pp said 38.3 isn't too high anyway so you should be able to control it with the paracetamol
