What is your best piece of advice to an expectant first time mum?

It's really fucking hard. Accept help when you need it. That's my advice.

But don't roll over. Don't let people pressure you. It's hard to find that balance and you might find it hard to accept the help, you might not want it.

If you think you've bought enough maternity pads for your hospital bag, you haven't. Pack 2 or 3 more packs.

Keep a roll of small bin liners in your bin when you get home - the amount of pads you go through is a lot and the bin can be quickly and easily changed frequently.

Get the tommee tippee perfect prep if you are thinking of bottle feeding. It's the most used piece of equipment in the house

Relax and enjoy the last few weeks (try sleep if you can)

Be patient with your partner, the first few weeks are really tough, but the tough nights won't last forever

Agree with all of the above advice

Be kind you yourself, don't try to be wonder women
Don't compare to others sleep/feed/milestones
It's ok to say no if you don't want to do something - no people pleasing
Communicate with your partner - keep talking
Make time for you
Times can be hard and testing - it doesn't last
Sometimes babies just cry dispute having been fed, changed, burped

Enjoy the newborn stages it goes so quick x
