Hey, so I'm 33 weeks pregnant and been getting Braxton Hicks for a good few week now. I've noticed my pants have been a little wet recently but put it down to trickles of urine and discharge. However today, I noticed a change in discharge and just wondering what you all think? Could it be amniotic fluid or mucus plug? I've been getting period like cramps for a few days and shooting pains in my bum/front.

Contact your midwife if your unsure hun

Looks like normal discharge to me, but I would contact your midwife just to be sure. They can take a swab.

I would get that to your out of hours midwife now - my waters went early (31 weeks) and they flag anything yellow as potentially distressed baby (early meconium). It’s probably all fine but they will want to check you. Let us know how you get on. If your waters have gone early they will give you steroids and antibiotics.

Just waiting on my hubby getting home and then going to go to triage. I've been up all night with Braxton Hicks but since they've subsided I've had period pains and lower back ache all day. I phoned the hospital and they said I shouldn't be getting period pains at 33 weeks and there's a chance I could be in preterm labour so I'm going to get checked. I'll keep you updated.

Hey, so I got myself checked out. Put on monitor, baby had a lovely heartbeat, I was having Braxton Hicks on toco graph and they did me an internal. Cervix is closed so I guess it was nothing but me been paranoid 🙈 although today I've had more discharge and I've no idea if it's normal or not 🙄

I would say normal, no hint of pink/blood.

Looks normal to me. But you can ask your midwife if you want reassurance
